I used to think Pelle Almqvist of The Hives was class, and obviously modelled on Jagger.

In current times i think Tom Smith of Editors is spellbinding, and Liam Fray of Courteeners has a lot of potential.

Agreed Higgy Mick Jagger, best rock and roll, been to eight shows, including Rio and Paris, cost me a fortune, but worth every penny, I'd spend as much again (and more) for another night aka Istanbul:D

Right now I am BLASTING the street with the best of Bowie. Major Tom,(space oddity) to Diamond dogs,,,,, But let's not forget the other GREATS.

Roger Daltry of the Who.

And of course Freddie Mercury (have I spelt that right?) of Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Would Rod Stewart one Night Albert Hall, and Frank Sinatra, (greatest ever live concert in Las Vagas. Girls were wetting themselves!!)!:D qualify, solos'?

Michael Jackson, another solo, but was part of the five:) Billie Jean and Thriller, two of the best tracks ever live. Didn't see it but have the dvd.

Stop Stop Stop, I'll be digging out all my old albums and stay up all night.

Good call. Seen the Hives a few times and they were great. And he was a great frontman.

I think Dave Grohl would get my vote. The guy's got so much energy he really gets a crowd going. On TV it looks like over-doing it yank crap, but live you can tell he's actually just really enjoying it.

I was once on a lads weekend in Hamburg and Oasis were playing and we got tickets and went to see them. Liam treated it like it was a stop on a conveyor belt and just stood there looking moody and said "alright Hamburg" a few times. Not great frontman material that IMHO.

Mike Patton by a country mile. Has the best voice in music for the last 20 years; just check out his work with Mr Bungle, Tomahawk, Lovage or Faith No More.

Also does the voice over for a lot of games like The Darkness and does movie voice overs for the creatures in films like I Am Legend.

The guy is god.

But I am also torn between him and Jim Morrison; as though at times an idiot - was a very talented torn soul who was way ahead of anyone else about.

Quite right. Not only the best front man of all time but the most vocally gifted rock/pop singer of all time. There is no coincidence that Queen are the only group to rival the Beatles. In various polls Queen have come out on top between the 2. This is mainly due to Freddie Mercury. Although all members of Queen are extremely talented musicians, neither Lennon or McCartney come anywhere close to the vocal skills of Freddie. Add to Freddie, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon being much more talented on their respected instruments than the Beatles, then you have the most talented group of musicians of all time.

Kriz - just listened to Bargtatt and Perdition City on youtube.

Very good indeed. Only thing I don't like is the way growling vocals, but musically I get it.

Personnally I don't think it needs lyrics.

Check out a band called Shellshock(uk) on myspace. I used to be in a band with their frontman Jon Ayre. They're a bit different and Ulver reminded me in parts of them, Shellshock are basically drum and bass meets thrash metal and a bit of extra weirdness thrown in. A bit wierd but I'd be interested to know what you thought.

PS - a negative opinion wouldn't upset me as they are certainly not my cup of tea anyway!

Kriz listens to too many new songs. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do this and listen to your regular favourites. Go listen to an album you already own, Kriz. It's ok, we're here for you.

Unless it's proto-Eritrean breakbeat trip-hop I'm not interested.

He does listen to some absolute junk.

The funny part is when he discusses this 'fake' music with others who google it and then act to be into the 'scene' as well.

Others can't compete. He's forcing people to be fake around him. It could hinder his social development.

I hear his new housemates hate him.

They have to invite him on their night outs but conceive a brilliant plan to force him to cancel.

'kriz, don't you have your Eritrea awareness meeting tonight?'

'Oh yes, so..I can't come to your birthday party?'

'No Kriz, you have obligations'.

At some point in our lives we all feel "too real". You'll get over this, be strong.

SuperSi - I don't quite know what to think. Most of the songs on there aren't my thing, but "The Bombs Of Enduring Freedom" is a top, top quality tune.

My Eritrea meeting went well. We are planning an "Asthma for Asmara" themed neocryptoglitchbreakbeat night, where we come in the style of our favourite neocryptoglitchbreakbeat asthmatic Eritrean artist.

Have you heard that song by that artist who is not mainstream at all? He's only played in my mind but his new track (insert vague title, something like 'Faster than the speed of love) is amazing.

I'm checking out the rad new German "DJ Inderhouse". His new one is so loud and obnoxious it may just push my ears into my head.

Cheers for the reply. Not my thing really either but something in that Ulver lot reminded me of Shellshock. When I hear them it just reminds me when Ali G did Supergrass!

I honestly can't believe nobody's even mentioned him yet.........unquestionably the greatest frontman of all time:

DAVID HASSELHOFF

This man was BORN with hairs on his chest

He can drink ANYONE under the table.....including himself

He is a GOD in Germany

He's rescued countless people from a needless acting career

He's singlehandedly pioneered invaluable research into 'Hearing Impairment'

He's revolutionized the concept of 'lifeguards Bearing flotation devices'

Surely this list of accomplishments 'sets the bar' for all others to stagger towards......... ;)

Are there any rules to what gets what colour? Or is it random/dpendant on your mood etc?

I'm dumbfounded dookar - you ignore the definitive conclusion to the debate regarding the greatest frontman of all time, simply to enquire about my choice of colours?

P.S. If only to satisfy your curiosity, 'DarkOrange' is the closest I could find to 'fake tan' in a bottle...... :D
