Ive watched him play a few times this season and have been impressed, i think he could be a player we need
although he does have a nasty side to him, in his personal life he is pretty violent (fighting in bars and beating his girl friends up etc) look on wikipedia about him haha hes a newcastle lad through and through
but as a striker he could be a good partner for Torres and he gives us height in the box. he would be pretty cheap also
what do you guys think?
Meireles-is-Spence

He wont be pretty cheap as he's young and English.....
Looks a useful player, but he wouldn't be cheap. And too many off field issues.

not worth money or hassel

I think he would be cheap, he made his name last season in the championship and has so far got 4 goals this season
we could snap him up for 5mill or so i reckon

I have to admit i was wrong, i was caught up in the initial hype
His positional play is very poor.
Don't want him at Liverpool

He is young so has time to improve that postional play.
I can see him either becoming an international striker or staying at championship level. All depends on how much he believe's his own hype and puts into training.
Thinking 3m - 4m Is reasonable for him although he is english and young so his 'value' is most likely triple that...

Oh right. In that case he'll proberly be championship/bottom half prem level unless he sorts himself out.

What do you mean believes his own hype? im struggling to work out where you get this from because he doesnt and there isnt that much hype about him, hes a decent player who works hard and tries his best but he is still young and learning, if he can get to a bigger team he could be a very good player at club and international level
he's rubbish at putting fires out

Joey barton is a good footballer but a rotten human being why dont we sign him as well
Come on people is this the sort of players we should be looking at has our ambition as a top club sunk so low due to having roy at the helm

He would end up biting off one of Torres ears in a strop, not a good idea!
good player would compliment torres well , big ,strong unlike matchstick man ngog, and he is a bit of a swordsman
roy sign this lad £12m tops
Why would he leave Newcastle to join a team in the relegation zone?
:D

we need a player with a bit of a reputation, a bit of bite in there game somone who can knock-out defenders cold, instead of some of the fairys we have in our team

hes a good team player his problems are off the pitch when he goes out
id pick him over ngog and babel any day
we need a player to lash out when things aint going right , a guy who will cause a 20 man brawl and get the opposition sent off

u r right, we defo need a strong lad up front wid nando and carrol is a crackin example of that but we dont want the other lads walkin on eggshells incase they upset him (steven taylors broken jaw) and we end up with another bellamy-riise round of golf

he seems a decent player, quick strong good in the air. wouldnt mind him here. however, he's just signed a 5 year contract. besides, i think fergie will go for him in the summer, he'd fit in nicely at manure what with his fiery temper and air of arrogance

Ive always liked him hes a better crouchy. Just a handful, With Suarez flair, and Carrolls directness it could be amazing, needs to get a good pre season though.

I remember watching him at Newcastle, and I use to feel that, NUFC fans must feel so at ease and so confortable with someone like Carroll upfront - especially as a newly promoted side (they tend to be quite nervy about whether they'll stay up or not)
I used to watch him thinking that, when he was on his game, the guy is a total beast and is UNDEFENDABLE! I always thought he would go to a top side, and I always thought that would be utd, coz they always go in for the top english players (and do pay OTT for it too), like Rooney, Ferdinand, and are linked with the likes of Rodwell!
NEVER thought we'd get him, but did want him! Especially seeing how lightweight Ngog is and how much Torres gave the ball away after being outmuscled all the time! I though we needed a play like that upfront!
I can't wait to see him next season, when he'll be on fire! I believe that Carroll would be top goalscorer for us and could win the golden boot! Suarez is more of a creative (goalscoring) forward I would say!
Glad we've got him! :scarf :scarf :scarf
