Its getting to that sort of time where my wife wants a new car,i am reluctant to buy one and am swaying towards leasing one.Does anyone already lease a car for personal use?
I have a company car which is leased and its hassle free motoring, and when the lease is up you get another one!

IMO, it quite an expensive way to motor.
Especially when there are some kick bum deals at the moment.
Apparently Peugeot are going to start offering some good finance deals on the 3008 (http://www.peugeot.co.uk/vehicles/peugeot-car-range/peugeot-3008/) which is a great motor.
Good enigne and the higher level spec motors are kitted out like the dog's danglies.
The new SAAB 9-5 is cheap brand new, only about 25k and considering what you get (it really does put BMW's, Mercedes and Lexus to shame), a real bargain. And it actually looks good too.
It even has the Heads-up display for 25k

More expensive than purchasing one, insurance ,servicing etc?
It's roughly even either way. With leasing you effectively get 0%'APR. The lessor can do this as they use HMRC as interest free finance themselves.
Personal rates tend to be a lot higher than business rates though.......

And you get to actually own the car, which you never do with leasing. Dead money in my opinion.
Especially if you can afford a decent deposit on a new one.

Did you make a decision on it?
Been thinking about it myself since you brought it up.

Leasing is the way forward, local rental company.Rental cost is just under the equivelant average loan+insurance+tax etc:)
Sold wifes car and now rent a brand new equivelant on a two year lease
