I post a thread about something. It is deleted.
I understand, because it is a duplicate thread, til I understand the other was deleted aswell.
I therefore ask about it on this forum.
...and my thread got deleted and, unless I missed it there was no explanaition.
In the hope that THIS one doesn't get deleted I have not mentioned the subject.
Perhaps one of you could e-mail me to explain what is going on. I think that would be polite, rather than the disappearing-thread situation.
Please have a think dear mods, that when somebody has had the decency to post a non-nasty and balanced thread asking about something, perhaps the un-rude thing to do to a paying customer would actually be to tell them what's going on.
I look forward to receiving an e-mail shortly.

JTR - Sorry dude I did not see your reply because I did not know that a thread entitled "FAO Mods" was about this subject.
To you and all others - I know people who were at Hillsborough and I know people who have been greatly affected by the tragedy. I did not mean to be sensitive.
I thought people would want to know that this sponsorship had happened. I also thought it would spark an interesting debate.
If I thought for one second it would have upset people I would not have posted it.
Maybe I was a bit OTT, but I do find it rude that threads get deleted without proper information as to why. Not for the first time either.
Now I know why, I will know not to discuss such an issue again.

It was deleted saying that there was another thread on the same subject that had also been deleted.
Brilliant explaination. At least it wasn't as rude as your last one.

All you would have to do then would be find the original thread and have a look at the explanation given, it was only on page 2!
And if you had searched for the thread in the 1st place then you wouldn't have started another duplicate thread.
