Do you remember the 26th April 1992?

Has there ever been a funnier day?

Has there ever been a more satisfying day?

What are your abiding memories of that day?

When?

25th of May 2005 for one.
12th of May 2001 perhaps.
16th of May 2001 either.

And that's just in my time. I'm sure there's older folks about with stories of Shankly's titles, Paisley, Dalglish and so on.

Aye it was a cracker. Soiled my nappy a few times, had a few pints of breastmilk and a bit of a snooze.

great day but that season I was still coming to terms with the fact we were looking decidedly crap with Souey in charge. We had awful injuries and dodgy players arriving, Walters being one and the signs were all there we were sliding away badly.

Still, we delayed Utd's title win that season and picked up an FA Cup a week or so later. Rush bagged his first goal against Utd that day after years of waiting so it was a double whammy and a good day. We've had far better though in the grand scheme of things

The songs on the Kop that day will live with me forever.

As will sight of captain cripple's jaw on the floor at final whistle along with useless.

And the abuse we directed at scum fans both in and outside ground.

We need to make the ground a theatre of pure hate tomorrow. The hatred must be visible, tangible and manifest itself at all times and levels. Pure hate and abuse.

It was a great day ofc but its a sign of bitterness that you hold this day in higher regard than others like the ones Sergio mentioned.

A day where we hindered another club or a day where we won something ourselves? No brainer for me m8.

Yes I like most Reds have a healthy hatred of Utd but I'm far more concerned with what we do which is why that 92 game was bitter sweet. Factually we were fading badly while Utd were embarking on years of success rivalling what we were used to, they had the last laugh. I'm fed up of them, but hating them so obsessively almost makes us like the Bitters, its a road I won't go down. Tomorrow I'll be manic about us winning, after that though its all about what LFC do, not Utd. **** em.

My hate for them is greater than any other feeling I have.

Supporting LFC = hating Utd.

tbh I dont hate united that strongly. Ive actually always felt a degree of pity for them. Theyve always been in our shadow. The main thing that motivates them is surpassing us, let that bitterness and jealousy consume them.

Dont become a bitter m8, dont lower yourself.

There's a club near Anfield that you should become a fan of, they are bitter and hate filled, seems like a match made in heaven.

The OP is a broken record and an attention seeking worm. The only thing he talks about is hate.

His view is very limited so he spends his time writing hated filled threads to make up for the sad and worthless life he lives.

As he said in this thread "I live to hate" you can see that he's a pointless waste of skin and its fans like him that this club doesn't need.

Sublime once wrote a song called "April 26, 1992". Every time I listened to it I thought about this day, oddly. But that's probably the only time other than watching highlights of the game that it comes to mind.

Kenny scoring the winner against Chelsea as player manager? Far more glorious.

The more hate there is towards Utd, the better. We need to be hate filled against them and other scum teams like Arsenal (although I won't mind if we lose to them in a few weeks if it stops Utd winning the league).

I do indeed recall this match.
Yes, it was quite funny as Michael Thomas and Mark Walters were shoving each other off the ball as they broke up the pitch to set up the second goal.
And Rob Jones keeping Giggs in his pocket.

Always great to see the mancs distraught. The sad thing is this post is all about the past. When the Mancs win their fourth European Cup and 19th title in May I won't be think about 26th April 1992. They're concentrating on now and the future. I don't think Kenny is bothered about 1992 now.

Make no mistake that is the reason that lot keep winning and its only now Kenny is back we have some sort of the old spirit. But, Kenny's task is a massive one. Either way, I'd settle for anyone to put and end to manc dominance.
