Somehow….Ron Sexsmith isn’t a household name despite an incredible back catalogue and a cult following including the likes of Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Michael Buble, Chris Martin and Steve Earle.
But a TV documentary and his newly released CD in partnership with the legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, The Cult, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe) might finally change things.

Here’s a taste of what he’s got. Beautiful words and melodies…. and HOPE.

Paul McCartney has repeatedly heaped praise on him - and Elvis Costello rates him as the best melodic tunesmith since Macca - but maybe you are right.

Very true - there's no accounting for taste. But... really... the Beatles.

I saw him live. He is good yeah but his tunes are a bit samey after a while. What he needs is a producer like Rick Rubin to resurrect his career.

Enjoyed the BBC 4 program with Fran Healy and Ron Sexsmith.

The great unwashed are better judges than McCartney or anyone.

Some good stuff definately but the overall package of songs is - as has been said - samey. And the basic emotion is to introverted.

Nick Drake had a similar problem (although I enjoy his material better than Ron's)
