So today, I have nothing but joy in me after yesterday.. I'm walking around with a smile on my face and i just want to read match reports, threads on here, listen to the radio phone in's and watch LFC Tv.
BUT....
Whats with LFC Tv today showing so much of Nando? Got the TV on in the office and every time I glance at it theres a goal by Torres being shown.
I'm over Torres, really am.... but.... I don't want ANY reason to feel anything but joy today. Surely LFC TV could just replay Suarez' run for the first goal yesterday, again and again and again for the entire 24 hours today..?
Seriously LFC Tv, move on too.. we're over Torres, I don't want to see his goals.. I just want to see Suarez! and Raul and Carroll.. the futures bright we need not watch this stuff the day after beating the Scum 3-1!!!!!
JUST REPLAY THE GAME ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!! :scarf
Is this you or your girlfriend now?
Probably didn't know we would win 3-1 when they drew up the schedule. Just a thought.

I agree, this needs to be done.!
Those games he played in were Liverpool games, not Torres games. Don't care about watching his goals, I wasn't celebrating at the time because I loved his dedication to the club and was celebrating my love for the player, I was celebrating Liverpool scoring a goal.
I have taken this week off work for a combination of the Kids being off on half term, and some Uni work i need to catch up on (I'm a mature student)
Anyway I have had the opportunity to watch LFCTV as much as I want, mainly becasue my wife is at work this week.
What I wanted to say is how bad is the LFCTV channel? Since Monday all I have seen is the same programmes repeated over & over & over again. and when there is a different programme on, all they show is the same clips from all the other programmes as well as repeats of previous phone ins.
A very poor channel, and In know we get it for free, but surely it would be worth charging a subscription, if it owuld enable better content and better presenters.

most team based channel are like that
mutv does the same thing. replay the same shows over and over again
theres only so much you can present on at a football club.

I enjoy watching the academy, but there is not nearly enough content based around our glorious past.
I must have seen the "seasons goals" at least 6-7 times a day.

I think the presenter's a great...
...especially Claire ;)
One thing I notice about the channel is how quiet it is compared to other channels! Then the ads kick in and nearly burst my eardrums! What's with that? :D

Good they are not pretending anymore, that they are not allowed to show these games.

We don't pretend. Policies can change however.

Except when the former policy was in place, Man Utd constantly showed these games on their channel. Same as when our channel had to cease broadcasting at 3pm on Saturday's even if we were not playing, as rules didn't allow it, they were allowed to do so. Then again Man Utd are allowed different rules.
Yep it did make me laugh when we were told that we couldn't show Under 18 games due to 'FA rules not allowing Under 18 players to be shown on TV'
After it was then pointed out that MUTV show all their acedemy games live the reason changed to 'The staff at the academy have requested that they are not shown live'
:D
The thing is, Matt actually said once that the reason was because of money. It costs a lot to set the equipment up on an ametuer pitch like at Kirkby and that was the reason, MUTV have a far bigger budget and that's why they are able to
Well that's fair enough, I think we would all accept that, there was no need to lie and make up imaginery rules to justify it.
Also the no programmes at 3pm on a Saturday was due to 'Barclays Premier League regulations'. Well I'm pretty sure that Utd would fall under those regulations as they play in that league also. But no, they were somehow allowed to broadcast.
I notice that now we do broadcast at that time though

Dom, this is something that you have brought up a couple of times over the last year or so.
There was, once upon a time ago, an FA rule where underage kids games couldn't be shown, I remember reading it and thinking dear god what has the world come to, that rule was challenged and then changed a number of years ago.
Secondly so what if the Staff don't want the players games shown? Surely they know what's best for the kids development.
Anyway its not something that I think any of us should really latch on to and argue to death. :)

I don't think any of us can argue with the costs of setting up the equipment, if we had a bigger budget and more revenue coming in I'm sure Matt would love to be able to set up more live games of the youths and reserves.

Weren't Man U fined for their broadcasting during Premier League games? Again I do remember when I had one of those illegal free view boxes and had MUTV, LFC.TV and Chelsea FC.tv that both the Chelsea and Liverpool stations would stop broadcasting at 3pm.
I do believe Utd won a case on appeal of the fine where they and their high priced legal team challenged the wording of the agreement as it left it "open to interprutation" of the rules.
And once again I think the rule was then clarified for all and now broadcasts can take place just not of live matches.
Anyway much more important things in the world than such trivial things, I'm sure you'd agree mate.

1. So if this FA rule existed then why did it not apply to Man Utd. Can you answer that John? Because I have still not seen a reason why a rule applys to us and not them.
2. Where have I said there's a problem with the academy not wanting to show the games? Try reading properly.

If that's true then thank you for the explanation, that clears that one up once and for all.
And yes, there are far more important things today, I have just paused the Hillsborough Service to respond to this. I am not going to log off and watch the rest.
