Yes, I posted about this recently, and was hoping we'd keep to the pattern, as it's our turn next to win the title, but unless the mancs lose against blackburn and blackpool  and chavs win their 2 remaining games with a better goal difference, the pattern will be finally broken - not to worry, we will just have to start a new pattern, with them winning the first one - and then us winning ten without reply - just can't get enough :scarf

They may have broken our record, but we'll be setting new records. They've caught us up it seems, but now we've got to make sure they never catch up with us again.

I find it strange that a team that existed 14 years before us has never had more titles than us at any stage. 133 years and they are only starting to get ahead.

And even then they aren't anywhere near getting the 5 European Cups!

And they think they're good :P

The pattern has been broken unless mission impossible happens and ManU lose their last 2 games and Chelsea win their last 2 games....I would love to see the expression on Ferguson's face if that did indeed happen.

If ManU win the prem this season it will be the first time in the history of the English FA that they have been ahead of liverpool....and the set of equal winning streaks will be over

We must look ahead to the future...hopefully next season we will be chasing 4 trophies and I predict we will win 1 (the premiership of course)

Next season will be uncharted waters for LFC...an exciting time.

Now with the best possible manager behind LFC...a Fit Gerrard, Suarez, Carroll...some new players together with some young players coming through anything could happen...buckle up your seat belts...one hell of a happy ride is about to happen at LFC

Here is something I noticed. Do competing teams within same city tend to do as well when other teams dont.
Ie when Liverpool were doing well in Eighties so were everton. For the first time in a long time, I think we will have top four made up of clubs from two cities. Ie City and United (Manchester) and Arsenal and Chelsea (London)

Pattern's been broken twice in a row now... so they're on 13. Maybe it will come out they bought the 2011 and 2013 titles or something and they'll be stripped of them - lol.

In any case we need to win the next one and get the pattern back on track. With Rodgers in our camp and Moyes in theirs, that looks more than possible.

remember that particular post when it first appeared. Obviously the pattern has been broken, but its a tad scary how entwined both clubs appear to be. With the present changes between both LFC and Manu, could it be possible that what we are seeing is the wane of Manu as we are about to rise?

So sometimes I speak sensibly I suppose

But times are very worrying. Very quickly LFC are becoming a mid table team...cringe

Next season will be the crunch...if LFC dont get into Europe (CL) next compaign then mid table mediocrity may become commonplace

Try to be optimistic and not think like that. We are a big club with a big wage bill and big names and one of the biggest worldwide fan bases... and signs look positive.

Well to be fair we initially bounced back from that admirably in 1990 winning the league, and it looked like Kenny was going to manage to get another league title in 1991 before he stepped down, perhaps he thought otherwise. There were many factors but for me, Kenny stepping down, and us reportedly not giving him some time and then asking him back, was the turning point.

And now it's Ferguson's turn.

Well really you could say that the pattern has reset itself to the beginning but with Utd getting the first 2 titles, if we win the next 2 then maybe the pattern will continue.

It could be called the 110 year pattern

26 years this season.....

Might sound daft, and I know it's all about the practicalities of running a club, the manager, owners, players etc, but I have always linked our footballing misfortunes of the past two and a half decades to Hillsborough. A pall was cast over the city and club after that terrible tragedy, and I have said previously that I believe our fortunes on the pitch will only see a real upturn once all the inquests have been heard, any guilty parties are punished, and the 96 get justice and their loved ones find some closure.

It might or might not be next year (after 26 years), but I'm convinced it will happen once Hillsborough is finally laid to rest. Only then will LFC rise again.
