Without a doubt Reina is our keeper for the foreseeable future, but we were all so scared of him leaving and rightly so because he's quality but could we cope with out him with goalkeepers like Jones and Gulacsi? I don't think so, when a keeper as good as Reina leaves you need to buy another quality goalkeeper just like what Man United are doing with Van Der Sar and De Gea but should we do that or look at Man City with Hart and Given in the team? But then that destroys the hopes of Jones and Gulacsi and even Hansen whose in the reserves currently. Do you think we can get two quality keepers like Man City with their wages or do you think we can replace Reina when he does leave/retire or do you think we're fine the way we are with Jones and Gulacsi. Personally I think Jones and Gulacsi is too many keepers as back up. They are both good cover for Reina but we honestly don't expect them to play because Reina is strong. I think having both of them is a waste to our wage bill and one of them should be sold, personally I think Jones is the better keeper but because of that he might want to move to get first team football, if not then sell Gulacsi. What are your thoughts?
Sell Jones or Gulacsi - too many keepers, waste of wages.
There isn't really deadwood in these positions apart from one of players mentioned above.

can't change that he is the best defender. you r right maybe we should buy worse defenders like sakho cahill jones KJAER MERTESACKER

Agger is better then Skrtel... im not saying hes bad but you treat him like hes some kind of god.
And Sakho is better then Skrtel IMO Cahill and Jones are as well probably...
Although Skrtel was very good under Kenny, but a few months ago everyone wanted him out because of how terrible he was under Roy... Although I like him I wouldn't mind another CB in for competition with Skrtel.

Do you not think it would have been better to create a "Squad competition" thread, rather than individual one's for each posistion? :)

I thought about it but I was also interested in seeing which topic would stay current longer and in a squad thread you get a lot of people talking about different positions and it gets confusing, this way I think people can see what the thread is about and all talk about the same thing, mostly :P
