View Full Version : my first time at anfield
Right, guys: I've never really had the money to get to Liverpool or buy a ticket to see a game, but a fellow liverpool-supporting friend asked me yesterday if I fancied going to the Valencia game with them this coming weekend.
The enthusiast that I am, I agreed, and now I'm really looking forward to it!
I have no idea where we'll be sat, how to get there, where the front door is or if the food I can grab at half time will be decent.
So, tell me regular anfield attendees: what's it like?

There is numerous gates around the ground mate wherever your ticket says the gate number thats where you head to...if you are a bit lost ask a steward who will be close by...there are burger vans and takeaways outside the stadium and around the anfield area. Also inside theres a food locoation near to wherever your sat (inside the stadium + toilets wont be too far away) anyways at the food bar they sell tea, coffee, pies hotdogs etc.
Hope this helps and enjoy the game! YNWA!!
Take a hard hat, strap your cash to your wallet/body. Don't take your phone if its worth more than 20 notes, and do not take a fit bird with you....
sorry sorry, it's bleeding BRILLIANT
aha, thanks guys. Now I just hope we actually put out a decent XI and win the game to top off my first time there!

If you get to the stadium early enough if you hang around the main stand area you may see a few past players aswell as waiting for the team buss to arrive! Enjoy mate :)
You`ll not miss it, its the big red stadium that you can see past the little blue stadium on your way in, if you go my way anyway.
All information about what stand, gate & seats are on the tickets. These are then named, lettered & numbered at the stadium.
Enjoy it, its over all to quickly.;)
Might see about getting there early enough to see the team bus, then! :)
and I'll be completely missing the Everton stadium, I'm coming from Manchester. Don't hate me!

walking up them stirs and seeing that pitch for the first time blows your mind honestly. Anfield may be small but you can feel the tradition and passion when you walk up them stairs..
Well, it was yesterday, and I can thoroughly say I enjoyed myself on the Kop.
me and my mate couldn't find anywhere to park so we actually got to our seats 10 minutes into the game, and by all accounts, we missed a bit of drama.
I thought i'd go the entire game without seeing a liverpool goal at anfield despite us winning it, that was until Kuyt's tap-in in the 89th minute sent me, my mate, and the rest of the Kop wild!
great experience, I'd love to go again.
Save money to the Chelsea it's our last home game and we will be celebrating our 19th tittle.:scarf

Rookie mistake that. Next time ask on here and get there earlier.
Glad you enjoyed it - spread the love!
