Lots of positives to take out of today :

Enrique - Again showed what a excellent signing he has been, arguably been the best player in the league this season.

Suarez - My oh my what a gem of a player, absolute world class and troubled the Manc defence all day long. Could perhaps touch up on his finishing though.

Gerrard - Just great to have him back in the team, his desire motivates the rest of the lads and you can see that.

We perhaps should have won, but a point is a decent result.

The great thing is things are only going to get better, if you had offered me 4 points against Everton (A) and Man U (H) I would have taken that. Our next 3 games are against Norwich, WBA and Swansea a great chance to get a run of results and maintain our unbeaten run.

Can't fault the lads for effort today, I am a proud red and very excited about the future. :scarf

4 points from Everton away and Utd at home.

In the chase for 4th place thats utterly priceless ...

Very happy with our general form right now, we just need to take plenty of points from some winable games coming up.

YES!

Can we talk about how amazing Henderson was? I can only wonder what he'd have done had he played the full match.

We only have to look at how our 4th place fighting rivals did against United. 3-0 Spurs and 8-2 Arsenal. We should've won, but a draw isn't a bad result at all.

You know your making progress when you are disappointed that you only drew with Manure.

I can't wait to meet them OT, I think we'll finish off their title chances there.

A win in the next two is a must, if that happens we will have an average of 2.25 points a game this month, more than what we need to finish fourth.

Another positive is that Kenny's got a full squad to pick from. We're getting stronger :scarf

As Kenny says, the fact that we are dissapointed with the result, tells you how far we have come.

I don't know how anyone could not be pleased with that performance, there was so much positives to take.

Indeed.

2 points a game average was always my target and so far we are close.

Could we try a Henderson / Adam Partnership for the next match in CM since Lucas is suspended and all

But i have to admit, ever since beginning of season, our defense was looking a bit shaky, but clean sheets against arsenal and everton and we prevented Man U from doing much can show what we are to be a title winning side, just a little more practise and get a few good players, especially one who can do the finishing.

Now if we can do what we do against Everton, Man U and Arsenal against the lower table teams, we should be able to win, but i'm looking forward to the next 2 months now and see how we are at Christmas break before getting any ideas about going for Title

7-9 points from the next 3 game I will be happy with that and also to win in the cup too.
First time in years we have a very strong squad. Our bench looks pretty good

Yes I think things are looking up. We had our chances and maybe should have won 3-1.

I agree that Henderson should have started, and he had the match winning header. Dirk was unlucky as was Suarez that the goallie made great saves.

Second half we played a lot better, and if we can play like that all the time as a unit we're going to do very well.

1 point for both teams was better than 3 for them. Their next game is against City could also be a draw.

All comes down to how we approach playing teams we 'should' beat. If we can display the same urgency, commitment and desire against the likes of Swansea, West Brom etc then we can go a long way this season. This has been our achilles heel for way too long, and this complacency needs to be stamped out once and for all.

I agree with the OP.

It can't get any worse. We've had an average start to the season whilst, however, playing some very good football.

Our defence is improving, and all we need to be is more clinical. If we get that "edge", then we'll be fine.

We're also going to win a cup this season - looking forward to that!:scarf

I was pleased with the performance (proves we are better than the Scum), we are just lacking that clinical edge.

However, we will win our next four games (3 league, 1 league cup), United will lose to City and suddenly 4th is truly, truly on.

We only get better.

Suarez's turn was  amazing. A cruyff turn with the outside of his foot. The lad will have his own fifa moves.

Just imagine if that Henderson Header had gone in!I would of fainted!
anyway-Our midfield looks very very strong with That trio of Lucas,Adam and Gerrard and I could go a step further to say it Challenges the city midfield for the best in the league.I loved what Suarez did to ferdinand;that turn was amazing,Ferdinand could of sprained his ankle the way he was turned! If we go to OT with such a perfomance and a bit of luck we could turn them over! The riches we have in terms of options are unbelievable. We never even used proven internationals in Bellamy and Carroll.I had been very cautious in my aspirations for this season but now I genuinely believe we could topple Chelsea off that 3rd Spot.

Extremely vital that we win our next 3 games.

It's not exactly vital, but I think we do need to pick up nine points or we'll just be meandering along towards a 4th or 5th placed finish.

We face two promoted sides at home, and a side in the bottom three away who've yet to win at home. Yet people are still knocking two points off our expectations and even quoting average points like it means something at this stage.

We still have tough games, we are still dropping points at home, we still aren't scoring enough goals, BUT we can do better, we can win tough games (the way some on here talk you wouldn't think we should even try :FP: ) , and we should start scoring more goals. Had we scored the second goal we should have yesterday we'd have got the three points instead of dropping two and we'd be back in the mix instead of talking ourselves into a 2+ places drop down the table.

We're not going to finish in the top four if we keep accepting draws in situations we should pick up three. Before last season we had beaten WBA in EVERY SINGLE PREMIERSHIP GAME, and it can't possibly be we'd accept a draw at home to Norwich or Swansea

Agreed, the biggest test is the next three games, three games we should win and in the past after playing well agsainst big teams we would falter against the weaker.

We do need to work on our finishing, not clinical enough.

I would be expecting 9 points over the next three games, we're looking a much more prominent side in practically every area up and down the pitch. Finishing needs some improvement but no problems with creating chances :)

Definitely a lot to look forward to. We outplayed United yesterday, made them look very ordinary. Definitely deserved to win. If we can win our next 3 then we are on course for a top 3 finish or even better. :scarf

Yesterday was a potential 9 pointer.
Disappointed we didnt close out the game but at least we didnt lose any ground on them.
Having city on top doesnt really bother me because the team that finishes above utd will win it.

I wouldn`t get to carried away just yet, it was a good performance but we still need to get some consistency. I haven`t forgotten our defeats against Stoke & Spurs yet, we have Stoke in a cup shortly.

Our forward line is not scoring enough & the rest of the team needs to chip in with a few more as well. We need to improve our goals scored to goals conceded ratio.

That being said the seeds have been sown, onwards & upwards.

Yeah, I'm normally cautious but I think 9 is on. Less than 7 would be a disappointment. Then 2 tough games after that. By that stage we'll know where we are.

We're still favourites for the 4th place in the bookies.

We will most likely not win the league this year, I am an optomistic person but also a realistic one so I have my eyes firmly set on the CL spot and on our direct competition Spurs and Arsenal and yesterday Spurs dropped two points against Newcastle.

We are 3 or 4 players away from mounting a serious challenge for the title and the revenue and reputation gained from getting back into the CL is exactly what we need to draw the right type of players.

There is a buzz at Liverpool, our bench looks strong and dynamic we have a good mix of youth and experience and we have assured heads and passionate minds at the head of the club, our talisman is back and scoring goals, we have a new striker who is sending shivers through every defence in the land and other new signings that are bedding into the club nicely.

There was a time not so long ago that i almost dreaded watching Liverpool, because i knew that it was going to hurt to watch us disappoint and also because i knew the turmoil going on backstage, today the present and future are different and boy am i ******* enjoying it.

There is a wonderful moment in almost all of our matches, probably one of the greatest consistent joys i have witnessed since being a Liverpool fan of 30 years. It is when one of our boys puts that ball in the net and a certain man with KD as his initials turns to the crowd from the sidelines with a smile strong enough to cut diamonds and arms pushing for the heavens and shouts with sheer delight at the fact that we are doing good things and the crowd shout back at him with equal joy; pride really has its home in those moments for me.

Well in boys!! unlucky on Saturday; lets have roasted canary for dinner next Saturday.

Norwich and West Brom will be scrappy affairs. Andy Carroll must start alongside Suarez in both matches or Craig Bellamy (if Suarez needs a rest).

Some good performances on Saturday but we usually play well against the big teams.......it's the teams that we should easily beat that worry me!
