Find us some players who are relitavely unknown, play in a different leagues and would be hungry to prove themselves in England. Instead of waiting for players to become 'big stars' and paying over the odds for them we should take a risk on a few players and develop them into great players for us.

Players like Lucas, Reina, Agger and Skrtel who are now key members of our squad were unknown by many before they joined us and yes they took time to settle but we are now benifitting from persevering with them.

There are lots of great players playing in leagues such as Russia, Portugal, Netherlands, Brazil, France or even the Championship and if we don't sign them someonelse will. :scarf

Whilst i agree with you for part of it, i also disagree. I guess you are meaning players to come in and be straight in contributing to the first team, then i fully agree. However, Bueno cones in in the summer and hopefully he is going to be a very astute signing. Can contribute straight away and has potential, similar to Hernandez. On the other hand, he has been out and signed Ibe from Wycombe and Ono (i think that was his name, 14yo) who we will look to to really develop. Which bodes well for the future. Relatively unknown playerd touted to have big futures.

So all in all, in that respect, he may not be as bad as first though. Problem is, we need someone to come into the first team now and give us a boost, like Suarez last season. Im not overly convinced with all our signings, most notibly Carroll and Downing, especially for the prices paid, but i have faith.

This jan is big if we want top 4. We need that injection.
