No. It can be 30 or 40 years, but you have to make repayments once you reach the threshold.

Funnily enough it is that type of trait I find common in people brought up to support Conservative policies and values.
Never voted Conservative in my life.

The moment you get a job paying over £15k a year, you have to begin repayments. That could be when you are 120 years old.

Uni is worthwhile whether you get good qualifications or not imo. I love it.

For students that have started a degree in the last few years or from now on, I am pretty sure its 25 years.

The UK economy is on course to have the largest budget deficit by the end of the year - not exactly a sign of brilliant management of the economy!

Uni was awesome, and i don't have to pay my loan back because of the teacher shortage scheme.

First year of Uni was great, after that it's overrated.

I didn't say you voted Conservative?

I said your patronising tone towards others who disagree with you is a common trait I have found in people brought up with Tory values and beliefs

I think this video sums up those beliefs nicely:

    Very, very poignant.

He may have been a poor prime minister, but Gordon Brown is not a bad man.

So ends it, so ends a sad chapter.

Good luck to Gordon Brown, whatever future awaits you.

An uncertain future awaits us all.
