After the show ended , cena left the ring .

The miz came down and enterd the ring, and asked for an apology from the rock for stealing his limelight .

The rock deliverd the rock bottom to the miz .

Missed most of raw but woke up just at the end to catch the in ring promo from both cena and the rock , definitely added to the tension
For wrestle mania , unsure how the rest of the raw show went down though and if anything major happend .

6days guys . Can not wait now .

So team Long is Santino, Kofi, Truth, Ryder, Khali and now Booker.

Team Johnny is Otunga, Henry, Christian, Ziggler, Swagger and The Miz.

That's one ageing ex world champion in Booker for team Long and one joke of an ex world champion in Khali.

Team Johnny has 4 ex world champions in Henry, Christian, Ziggler and Swagger. And ex WWE champion The Miz.

There is no way in hell they could convince me that Team Long could win.

Not one main eventer in Longs team.

How have they managed to make a CM Punk/Chris Jericho feud suck?

    Seriously. How?!

I know best in the world v best in the world is all that was needed.

This angle could have been something interesting to go into after Wrestlemania if Punk won. A frustrated Jericho playing dirty when he realise's he might not be the best anymore.

I saw him come out with the team but assumed he was just there to make up numbers after getting beaten up by Punk.

On the final Raw before WrestleMania, Teddy and Johnny announced their final team members. The Miz was officially named to Team Johnny when he came to the aid of Laurinaitis, who was hit by Santino with the Cobra. Teddy named Booker T to his team for coming to help avoid being obliterated by big Mark Henry. And, Drew McIntyre officially replaced Christian, who was ruled not medically cleared to compete at WrestleMania after a brutal attack by WWE Champion CM Punk.

I was thinking if it was part of the story he might turn face and screw team Johnny over.

I think it's purely about ratings and PPV buys. Best In The World vs Best In The World is the stuff of dreams for guys like us, but it isn't actually something that would really draw casual fans. This whole nonsense they have now is more like a soap opera, and therefore more likely to make casuals buy Wrestlemania.

It annoys me, but I can understand it to an extent.

Don't buy into that at all.

If it's to attract casual fans, then making it personal makes no sense. If they aren't regular watchers, they won't have the emotional attachment to the characters that would make them care about a personal storyline. They won't even know about Punk's straight edge deal, not to the correct level anyway.

Yes, but that's why he's been talking about being proud to be straight edge, and why Jericho has mentioned it too. Casuals prefer soap opera storylines to wrestling-based ones. You say that casuals won't have the emotional attachment to make them care, but anyone who heard Jericho's first promo about Punks alcoholic father and saw Punk's reaction would think he was a complete bellend, and develop an instant hate for him. Job done. Emotions generated, seed of intrigue planted.

You're basing the whole "casuals prefer soap opera" on absolutely nothing. In fact ratings are down since that's been happening.

It is far easier for someone who doesn't watch regularly to get interested in two guys fighting to see who the best is. It's simple to book, it's easy to follow and it works 100% of the time. Literally without fail.

This "storyline" requires you to actually care about Punk and actually feel anger towards what Jericho is doing. If you don't watch regularly, why would you care about Punk and why would this make you angry?

And on top of that, it's a total myth that "smarks" don't like the same thing that casual fans like. If there is any evidence that this is the case, I'd like to see it.

Fair enough. It was only my opinion on the matter. I can't see any other reason why they've went down this route, other than that the Best In The World thing wasn't attracting the attention they'd hoped for.

Didn't mean to come across as aggressive, so sorry if I did. We just have contrasting opinions.

In my opinion, they've over complicated things like they always do. Just like the Hell in a Cell, Special Guest referee, End of an Era, Streak on the line, grudge match.

To be fair I started watching again when the Nexus came into it cause I hated them and wanted to see them lose.

I knew nothing about Cena and co at the time either.

Maybe it's not quite the same since I was a wrestling fan when I was child though, so it was easier for me to feel a connection.
