Without trying to sound like a total **** a lot of people one the boards confuse me greatly...I'm aware i tend to have different views to a lot of you so feel free to with argue anything i say, especially as my views seem to differ greatly in terms of our last game
Yes Dalglish has made mistakes this season, numerous tbf but a lot of them went ignored i guess because people had there blinkers on and then had Comolli as a scape goat (and more importantly some of the players/those that came with him).
What i don't understand has been the vast negativity surrounding Carroll since he's arrived, There's been several occasions were he's been mocked heavily and Dalglish has been mocked for signing/playing him on our boards.. I've been one of few supporting him and wanting him to start (this isn't specifically about this thread btw, i know Droid has been supportive of him too), he then scores in a semi final and all of a sudden Dalglish is getting slaughtered for not playing him from the start

If you'd of asked people a month ago who should start very few would of picked Carroll.
Then we see similar hypocrisy when it comes to the midfield.... This time in the opposite sense with Jay Spearing, the majority sound his praises all season (Because he's a local lad) then criticise Dalglish for playing him and he doesn't do well
As if that isn't enough who here wouldn't of picked Bellamy and Downing?.... Well it seems no one on the forums would of after they'd seen the first half and decided that Kuyt/Maxi should of started, unfortunately Kenny doesn't have the benefit of being able to see into the future.
I have no complaints about the final what so ever, the players did well and showed great spirit... Yes we might of won if it had been for a different tactical approach but he gave the approach that most had been asking for the majority of the season and we were some what unlucky anyway.
I'm not directly defending Dalglish here but rather criticising the outlook of what seems to be the majority and there ability to change there opinion after watching the game... Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing?
Now lets tackle the Dalglish situation head on with a level head, If the Carroll header was given and we'd gone on to win the cup then there's no doubt at all that everyone would be singing his praises right now for bringing us to two trophies and even specifically for bringing Carroll on and changing the game... But that's no what happened so the reality of our previous mistakes and resulting league position have hit home instead, as if the blinkers created by Dalglish's first notorious regime have been suddenly turned off relieving the truth... So to sum up one game and potentially one moment has caused the vast majority to change there opinion from a god who can do no wrong to a man who's out of touch...
If we are to move forward we the fans have to learn from our mistakes and approach the club/game with a level head. Should Dalglish be sacked? because we lost the cup final? No. Because of the mountain of mistakes that came before? Possibly but why recognize them now when everyone was ready to forgive?
I think it may well pan out that Dalglish is voluntarily moved on to the backroom staff and someone is brought into to replace him as such. The top of my list would be another manager who opinions changed very quickly and naively on in one Rafael Benitez....
(pick from this what you will it's pretty quickly written but isn't an attack on any individual posters in here)
