Just spent a good 30-45 mins ummin an arin over my team selection an tactics for my opening game against Narnia. This despite the fact I am almost certainyl going to taste defeat! Got to try though ay?
Have to say im pretty happy with the 1-1 draw away to Droid in the friendly this morning. The fact I left 2 of my best players out the side and tried 3 different formations throughout the match and still come away without defeat and the superior amount of chances. Also noticed Droid offered a win bonus too
Anyway, if anyones about, im free to have a game of snooker for the next half an hour

Oh, I just started playing Fifa 12. I'm really struggling with it. I can't defend at all and at the moment in my career game I think teams are playing deeper defensive lines to compensate for all the through balls I was playing, which was my only goal source. Anyone have any suggestions?

Use the wings a lot or just keep passing short and they will press so pass into space that then creates.
As for defending using the back left button a lot(i think it's that one) then just wait for the right chance to tackle and slide in the way of passes.
Once you get used to the defensive controls it's much better and you'll hardly let any in.

It hasnt been a problem for me subbing midfielders for strikers an such last season. And hasnt damaged their form or anything...
Yeah, it's weird. He's been getting points galore and yet he's never had a match rating above 9. He was very lucky to up to 8 this season so I figured I might as well sell him. I've already got a 4.2m bid for him which is slightly more than he is worth.
Loads of people will bid without evaluating anyway so you win get a lot of money.
It mightn't damage their form...but it will in all likelihood damage their match rating for that particular game. The defender you brought on against Droid for instance is 7 skill but was rated 4, if I remember correctly.
