I think this qoute from the Hillsborough page on the liverpool site sums up

why we should remember them as individual people as well as the 96-

"Collectively they've become known as 'The 96' but to the families and

friends they left behind, they were simply a dad, a son, a brother and a

sister; a cousin, an auntie, an uncle and a grandad; a boyfriend, a husband,

a soul mate and a best friend." YNWA

So please if you have time have a look at the following link which gives you

a little more detail on each red

Thanks to Greenscouse we have a working link please see his linke below...

    thank you all and YWNA

Exactly right. You could say that 96 is a number, but just not any number. Yet, they are 96 individuals - 96 beautiful angels - everyone of them unique, yet so wonderful. Each one honoured and prayed for just like yesterday, in that beauTiful yet emotional memorial service.

Unfortunetly as someone has kindly pointed out to me the link above does not work.

Unfortunelty I do not know where to find this information again as it was sNn who originally found this link. He doesnt post here very often anymore so cant ask him to find it again.

If anyone knows where to find it I would appreciate it immensely.

    The words of Tom Werner

What does Hillsborough mean to me? It's a difficult question for me to answer, as John's and my association with the Club has been recent. Of course I had heard about the tragedy, but when we first visited Anfield in September 2010, I stopped at the Shankly Gates and began to understand the pain and suffering so many have gone through these past 22 years.

Since then I have spoken to many supporters and a few families directly involved in the events of that tragic day. I read a letter, as well, that was published on the 20th anniversary, written by the wife of one of the supporters who never returned. The letter was so eloquent: 'To the world my husband is one of the 96, but to me and his children, he was always number one.'

Someone please tell me what was the song that was played in the end of the Memorial service broadcast at the time when all the 96's pictures and names were rolling.
