I'm almost burnt to a crisp right now, saturday was the day this happened it's sore and itchy i'm trying hard not to scratch the remaining skin i have, the temptation to scratch is very strong!

I even bought a 50+ sun factor too! this did nothing and i still got burnt. I was at the Hard rock calling gig on saturday at hyde park, saw stevie wonder who was headlining the event (Great show) anyway all through the day i was topping up the sun factor so i don't understand why i'm suffering now? And it's not even like i'm fair or anything i'm olive skinned

    I'm really sore!!

    Grim down south, innit

Here, we have the usual amount of Cloud cover and spitting rain to protect us.

Get the hubby to gently rub in some after sun that should do the trick for both of you.

    I have never, ever burnt.

In Spain a couple of months ago on a Geography field trip we were out for 8-9 hours a day in the Sun, no cover as we were just on the hillside doing surveying, and due to my non-burning streak I didn't bother with sun cream and all my coursemates did, yet most of them burnt to a crisp after just the first day anyway and I was fine.

My arms were admittedly slightly red by the end of the week, but within a day of getting back to England they were just tanned, hadn't peeled or hurt or itched or anything. When I say 'they didn't hurt', I don't mean, 'they didn't REALLY hurt', I'm not trying to be the big man about it, they just didn't hurt, at all, same as typing keys on a keyboard to write this doesn't hurt.

My skin is immortal. (To the sun, but nothing else)

Also, like Simo, I have never been tanned, my arms are pale again now and it only took about a month for that to happen.

P20 is good stuff (a bit late for you) but i have to stay out of sun having light skin and a few warning spots (non- malignant)

He has already over the weekend, he didn't get burnt because he didn't go to the event with me he's all fine. My skin still feels warm as well, i hate it it's the first time i've ever burnt!

Never mind, pale ones look quite sweet when they get burnt.

Chicky, make up a mixture of orange juice, oatmeal and raw sugar into a paste. Apply it to your sunburn and leave it on for a few minutes. It should take the sting out of it. Also, do not apply moisturizer. Moisturizers keep the moisture you already have in your skin from being expelled. Unfortunately this also traps the free radicals which cause the pain from a sunburn. Apply night cream instead. This will hydrate your skin without trapping the free radicals.

Ah then she could get the hubby to lick the mixture off and he gets a meal at the same time, nice one.

Thanks for that RC. Even better that i already have those items so i'll do that now actually and try it. I've been using Alo Vera all day which has helped cooling down my skin.

Ha ha Mrs Liver that reminds me of the time Mrs 00 got seriously sunburnt on a holiday on Rhodes she was in bed for 3 days solid and i was consigned to the one on the other the side of the room.

Mind you going out in the evenings on my own did offer some tempting alternatives but i managed to behave myself just. We were'nt married then ofcourse.

When I went skiing a few years ago everybody's face either burnt - badly - or stayed white due to the epic amounts of suncream that they put on their face. I used none and my skin went a lovely golden colour. I have great skin.

Fair enough but being a Monk would have certain drawbacks though.

Make sure it's raw sugar though. It doesn't work if it's the refined stuff.

Most of the Aloe Vera gel over here has huge amounts of alcohol in it. This will only make it worse in the long run. If you're going to use Aloe Vera make sure it doesn't have any in it or it's one of the last ingredients listed.

Got real bad sunburn in Greece years ago and the local doc told me to apply plain natural yogurt! Surprisingly enough it worked quickly.
