Must try getting a copy of that actually. Have the Primal Scream album of the same name playing in the background.

Is it The Loved Ones you're talking about? I didn't really like it that much. It reminded me of Mum and Dad, which was was similar and which I prefered.

I'm definitely going to see this on the big screen. Is it a re-worked version or is it the same quality images as the original?

Norwegian movie called "The king of devils island". Think "sleepers" meets "cool hand luke" and you're on the right lines. True story, and actually rather good. 7/10

I'll try to keep my post as short as possible, but I had a special movie experience last night so I feel the need to talk a little more about it...

I first saw The Good, The Bad And The Ugly when I was 9 or 10, a little less than 10 years ago, and it immediately became favourite movie. Since then I have obviously seen a lot of movies, and I've always kept an open mind thinking the movie I'm about to watch could become my new favourite movie. That hasn't happened, although a lot of movies have come close (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Memento, A Clockwork Orange, Psycho etc)... Yesterday I watched a movie. A movie that has been as hyped up as possible, a movie that has one of my least favourite actors but one of my favourite directors. I watched it with low-ish expectations (considering how highly praised that movie is) because I've had so many disappointments recently. This movie was stunning. Right from the start I knew it was a special movie, and it exceeded my wildest expectations, while also making me realize how lazy and incompetent some of the movie-makers are today. I'm not quite sure if this particular movie became my new favourite, but if it isn't, it's definitely my 2nd biggest favourite. The movie I watched was... Inception.

    Well, that was anticlimactic.

Nice to see someone appreciate the movie as highly as I do. There's too much hate for that movie.

    Darren Aronofsky is boss.

Someone here recommended me to watch "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" as I'm a fan of Jim Carrey and I'd like to thank him/her. What a ******' epic film! Beautiful!

The original Texas chain saw massacre! Finally watched it last night, what a film!
Probably the best horror film I've ever seen and horror is definitely one of my favourite genres so well played leatherface! Well played indeed!

There's so much hate for it because it's not that good. It's quite good. But it's not that good.

Watching a film that you've been told is going to be brilliant by lots of people will invariably annoy lots of other people when it isn't.

No fault of the film itself, obviously, but still inevitable.

This will offend some...but I even enjoyed the modern era remakes.

The original is an ugly brutal film, a true classic and head and shoulders above the standard "slasher" genre of the time.

Edit: I actually watched every TCM movie (original and remake) several months ago...along with all the Hills Have Eyes (once again originals and remakes) and Wrong turn Turn movies...twas a gory few weeks at my place.

anybody seen dark city? watched it today, weird film with keither sutherland in it, people in it that looked like pin head off hellraiser but without the pins in there heads, also reminded me slightly of inception with the moving buildings.
