Funny you should mention the IPL, I was surprised to find it on some random channel today. Thought it might be on sky sports or ESPN.

    Really? I don't think so.

I love how it's paced out over the course of 5 days, and that tactics change based on how long is left.

    It's just brilliant.

I love it for that exact reason. What other sport lasts five days at a time? You've always got to constantly change your tactics and keep on your toes otherwise it's game over. County cricket matches last four days, maybe I'm just used to the longer formats, but it's awesome because of its sheer unpredictability.

Oh, and they have awesome commentators when watching at home.

LFM it's actually on ITV4 I've never really been interested enough to watch it though for some reason.

    maybe i didn't understand sammi's post completely

the reason i like it is because of the 'testing' nature

    How sexist of you
(don't worry, you're not the first and you definitely won't be the last )

(The sad reality is I probably would be able to hit my own helmet)

Ahh he'll figure it out eventually as long as you stick to the correct spellings

This is one of the reasons I haven't been watching as much cricket as I used to..I love test cricket and all this T20 malarkey is just hogwash.

I hate it and I think IPL is the scourge of cricket.

    I'm not sexist honest.....

I merely skimmed the post and sore Sammy, not Sammi. So it's down to my lack of detail rather than my ignorance.

Oh yeah and her, wait i'm being really thick now.

I post in Garcia's and know nacnud and Koki. Koki actually put me into contact with Richardcranium as she had been to Africa before so I was asking her advice on it cause I'm going to Kenya to teach PE.

are you a PE teacher? that seems quite a stretch, going to kenya i.e.

richardcranium was fun to talk to though i never talked to her about football...she used to post a lot in OT before...

I am doing my degree and will hopefully be a PE teacher.

I don't mean I will work in Kenya, it will be voluntary.

Just something I really wan't to do. It will also look great on my CV. But that's just a bonus, doing something like this will be a surreal and amazing experience.

I am going to do it through a company called U Volunteer.
