    Wayne Hennessy?

24, Putting in some great performances in what can sometimes be an exceedingly poor Wolves back line. Just depends if he can make some of the saves he makes after doing nothing for 60-70 minutes which Reina does do for us on regular occasions.

Anyone want to put a price on him if wolves go down? 6M if wolves are lucky?

Alan Mcgregor would be the keeper i would go for to replace reina.
we wouln't have over pay over the odds probably around 5mil.
He a great keeper ready for a bigger club & we fit the bill nicely.
He also has great experience having played alot of european & international football & is also one of the best keepers in britain at the moment.
WE should deffo try to sign this lad as pepe's replacement.

I stand by Hugo Lloris - he is fantastic.

The rumours this morning have us down for 30-year-old Rennes keeper Nicolas Douchez. Don't know too much about him.

If we are on a budget then I'd like Stoke's, Asmir Begovic (only 23 years old). Fantastic shot stopper, strong in the air and absolutely huge and very good in one-on-one situations. I think he could quite easily become one of the best in a few years.

    Suarez in the goal !!

    Seriously.
I hope Neuer, but i doubt if we can get him.

Second choice and probably for a reasonable price will be:
    Maarten Stekelenburg
He is still young for a goalkeeper (28)
    Has a lot of experience.
Can handle the pressure ( Look at the WC 2010 )
The only thing is that he's been injured alot lately.

I really rate Asmir Becovic (bad spelling i know) from Stoke. He's 23, 6ft5, Bosnian international and has been outstanding for Stoke.

He has the prem experience and would not cost an arm and leg.

Begovic is probably the only prem keeper I would be interested in signing (unless Hart became available). Has looked good whenever I have seen him play.

Would be cheaper than Neuer, Lloris, Adler, Stekelenberg etc and they are more likely to be looking for clubs in the CL or in their native country.

In an ideal world then Lloris, i wouldnt be disapppointed if we got Given or Begovic though.

As a wildcard, bearing in mind he is only 21 i think, then Mignolet from sunderland.

Hmm...Mignolet in goal, then get Vertoghen for CB, Hazard at RW and Lukaku upfront and we'd have the future spine of Belgium's national team.

Methinks Begovic or Given shd be Pepe's replacement instead tho...

What do you fellas think of Casper Schmiechel, Leeds fans really rate him although playing at a lower level, do you think he has enough quality to improve into a world class goalie?

    Sweet Jesus - no way.

He is nothing special and belongs where he is.

Too be honest I find judging goalkeepers really difficult as you really have to focus on him to judge and in watching a game I find don’t focus on a goalies positioning often as there are more exciting things to look at in a game. A spectacular save whilst looking good could have been because the goalie was badly positioned, whereas somebody well positioned would not have needed to make such a spectacular save. In my opinion the best goalkeeper at Liverpool I have seen was Ray Clemence (I never saw Elisha Scott but me Granddad reckoned he was great too) whom never had to make many spectacular saves because his positioning was so good and he dealt with crosses easily. He was recognized by all as No 1 in the world for a while – you just took it for granted as he didn’t seem to have to make great saves that it was easy to over-look his great skills.

I'm going to throw another name into the hat. Eduardo of Genoa.

He was brilliant in the World Cup for Portugal and earned a big-money move to Genoa. He is 28 years old so no spring chicken but he is a complete goalkeeper. He also wouldn't break the bank and could give at least 10 years service being a goalkeeper.

I follow Italian football a bit and Eduardo is one Goalkeeper I would not want. Not very consistent and prone to errors. Not the sort of player we want here!
