Any other scenario Modric would of won, hands down.

Same as above, because we desperatley need a winger it has to be bale hands down, but if we already had good wingers it would definatley be modric as hes one of the best in his position.

Bale is the most over rated player in the league right now. Modric any day of the week.
Modric. Bale will be good for another two years as he is very injury-prone and will lose his pace about then. Without his pace, Bale is nothing.
Modric's brain will last a lot longer than two years.
I totally agree with this.
Bale without a shadow of doubt for obvious reasons,he could play left-back or on the wing.
Bale would be a very expensive flop personally, he's had 7 good games this season and been given a £50m price tag. No one will pay that money for Bale.
Modric is a fantastic player, but we need Bale more.

Modric is the class act at Spurs, and the main reason for there little bit of success.
Especially if they only have £35m to spend.
Gareth Bale is severely overrated, and for that reason I'm saying Modric. We can spend money on a better player than Bale for his position.

I've already said but I'll rephrase: Would you rather we bought an okay player for the position we need instead of a great player in a position we don't? For this particular hypothetical scenario we can only choose between Bale or Modric. Surely it'd make more sense to have the depth in one position and then spend more money elsewhere for other players instead of settling for the more average of the two? I'd rather we have an extra strong squad with backup than have a position that can still be improved.

It's easy to find players of Bale's abilities around. Modric is unique tho.
