Champions League Quarter-Finals 2nd Leg and Overall Update
Scores in bold are your overall scores, the ones in brackets are your 2nd leg scores.
LFCsince73 (11) 13 vs 11 (8) GunnerWinTheLeague
FA Cup semi-finalist GunnerWinTheLeague finally met his match as LFCsince73 overcame the odds to fight back and progress to the next round. Despite being a point down, LFCsince73 in the end advanced quite comfortably, with the match finishing 13-11 in the kiwi's favour. With a huge 12 points on offer, LFCsince73 scored a remarkable 11 points, the highest score of the round by a clear margin. The only one he predicted wrongly was Bilbao to win at home to Schalke. Often accused of cheating, LFCsince73 proved he can win without doing that as he ended Gunner's bid to win the double!
Tardelli59 (7) 8 vs 7 (5) Hitmanlfc
In a rematch of the titanic clash of the round, Tardelli59 provided a slight upset as he followed LFCsince73 in reversing a first leg deficit. However, it was a much tenser affair in this tie as Tardelli59 edged through by the skin of his teeth, winning by a single point. Falcao's 87th minute winner for Atletico decided the tie, as Tardelli59 predicted the away win whilst Hitmanlfc chose the draw. As a result, Falcao may have just secured his position as Tardelli's favourite footballer. Thanks to his victory, Tardelli is now the the highest ranked player left in the competition.
Jelly5id (8) 11 vs 11 (8) NACNUD
(NACNUD wins on the tie-break)
For the second week running, there was no separating the two friends as both fought to remain in the elite european competition. However, just like last round, NACNUD achieved the same feat of knocking out a close friend as she prevailed thanks to the tie-break question. With both players scoring 11 points overall, her prediction of 18 goals was absolutely spot on, allowing her to send cup specialist Jelly5id tumbling out of the competition at the quarter-final stage. NACNUD's fairytale dream of winning the cup goes on as we head into the semi-finals!
Madforit1 (7) 8 vs 11 (9) RedCherries
In the big upset of the round, former league leader Madforit1 was sent packing by league struggler RedCherries who produced another decent score of 9 points to secure his passage in the next round. In truth, the outcome may have as little surprise to a lot of player as RedCherries has been one of the highest scorers in the group stage, and the previous round. The in-form player is lowest ranked player left in the cup, but there is no doubt that he is the man to avoid in the next round.
Players advancing into the last four are:
LFCsince73
Tardelli59
NACNUD
RedCherries

Europa League Quarter-Finals Second Leg and Overall Update
SonOfSid (6) 8 vs 12 (9) FinnanFOREngland
Coming into the 2nd leg, there was a large amount of pressure on the shoulders of FinnanFOREngland as he aimed to prevent the bottom placed player SonOfSid making a superb comeback. Luckily for him, he managed to complete the half finished job, and in the end, he did it with much ease. FFE was the highest scorer in the Europa with a points tally of 9 points, and this gave him a 4 point winning margin overall. This defeat was another blow in SOS's disappointing season and he must now be hoping this season finishes as soon as possible.
Tony (0) 2 vs 9 (7) DarkStrike
Having gone AWOL in recent weeks, Tony surrendered his chance of picking up a piece of silverware as he failed to show, virtually giving DarkStrike a free passage into the next round. Nevertheless, DarkStrike still managed to get a decent score of 7 points, more than the majority of players in this competition. Who knows what may have happened had Tony turned up, but DarkStrike won't care as he will line-up in the Europa semi-finals.
Skidzy (4) 6 vs 4 (0) LightningLucas
Another player who didn't stand a chance in the 2nd leg was LightningLucas who was the second player who didn't post any answers. He would've almost certainly progressed aswell, due to Skidzy struggling to post a good score. A measly 4 points, by far the worst in this round, should have sent Skidzy crashing out but he fortunately got a reprieve, meaning last years 3rd placed player has a superb chance of claiming his first ever piece of silverware.
Jayfire (7) 10 vs 6 (5) Tuta
In the return leg between the two highest ranked player, current championship leader Jayfire saw off the threat of Tuta to maintain his superb form in cup competitions. Last years Europa finalist Tuta already had a big job on his hands as he seeked to overturn a 2 point deficit, but it proved too much for the kiwi who, as a result, whimpered out of this years cup. In comparison, Jayfire's treble aspirations are becoming more realistic week by week and he'll have to suffer a huge collapse if he is to leave this season without at least one cup.
Players advancing into the last four are:
FinnanFOREngland
DarkStrike
Skidzy
Jayfire
