Over the past day or so, an intergames match between the pools, the guessing game and gunner's scorer game has been suggested for the final round of each competition next weekend.

Basically, each "game creator" will pick 5 players from their games, aswell as themselves, to represent their games, and whichever team scores the most points will win. To take part, you will need to answer the weekend round of the pools, the guessing game and gunner's scorer prediction game.

The players i've chosen to represent the pools game are:
    Jayfire
    Hitmanlfc
    Madforit1
    Tardelli59
    Lfcsince73

let me know if you're up for participating in this challenge if you don't want to, just tell me and i can find someone else to take your place

if you want to play, make sure you remember to post in those other two inferior games
    bump!!!

A change in format this week caused some problems for a few players, but championship high-flyers Jayfire and Hitmanlfc flourished in the new variation of the game! Both were joint highest scorers, alongside SirStiffler, with a points tally of 18 points. Jayfire's predictions were remarkably similar to Hitman's, with tactical answering seeming a distinct possibility. Nevertheless, Jayfire pretty much seems odds on now to win his second ever league title, with the 16 point gap probably too much to overcome now for Hitmanlfc!

Just below, Madforit1 is still sitting in 3rd, but has still got a fight on his hands to maintain that place as new FA Cup winner, SoontobeChampions is just 8 points adrift. The latter player also overtook Tardelli59, making it a decent week for STBC! Tardelli59 was one of the main players to struggle this week and this allowed the players below him to gain some ground on him. The main beneficiary was Baby1, who is now just 4 points off the Irishman.

In truth, there wasn't much movement in round 36, including Jelly5id, LFCsince73 and Tuta maintaining their positions in the top 10. However, the one big change this week was Skidzy snatching the top 10 place away from NACNUD, with just one round to go! It's sure to be an intriguing battle going into next weekend! Europa League finalist, DarkStrike, is still also pushing for that place, as well as HatrikBerger who both scored 12 points a piece. All the players currently in the top half all seem likely to finish there, as no-one in the bottom half realistically can make the ground in one round.

Despite seemingly quitting from the game, Cumbrian still sits in 14th, but a number of active players are starting to creep up on him. FinnanFOREngland, Rianaldo and Gunner must all fancy their chances of overcoming the current GG champ as we head into the final round. From there, there is a substantial gap to this weeks highest scorer, SirStiffler, and he is now probably the one player who has nothing to play for in the final round. He is now destined to finish in 18th place.

Of the remaining 8 players, only SonOfSid bothered to turn up, but he could still only muster a disappointing 6 points, although a decent round next week could well propel himself up the table a few places, and avoid finishing in 25th place.
    Enjoy

    *_*_* FA Cup Final Update*_*_*

    SoontobeChampions 12 vs 9 GunnerWinTheLeague

It was the battle of the brothers as SoontobeChampions came up against GunnerWinTheLeague. After enduring a much tougher run to the final, Gunner was hoping to upset the odds once again and gain the bragging rights. However, the final was one step too far as STBC edged it by 3 points. Those winning points came from Liverpool's win last night. Anything else would've handed Gunner the victory! This FA Cup victory is STBC's second ever piece of silverware in the Pools, one year after winning the Champions League. In contrast, Gunner was so close, yet so far, as his search for silverware goes on!

    FA CUP WINNER: SOONTOBECHAMPIONS

Cheers mate its been a good battle, although I'm not claiming victory just yet

And I didn't tactically select the fixtures, there just wasn't many options available and I agreed with Hitman in the majority of games

    *_*_* Europa League Final Update*_*_*

    FinnanFOREngland 2 vs 3 DarkStrike

In our Europa league finale, FinnanFOREngland and DarkStrike battled it out for their first ever piece of Pools silverware. DarkStrike, who joined halfway through the season, had already lost out in one cup final earlier in the season, but he made no mistake this time round. FFE's superb prediction of Falcao to score couldn't stop the relentless DarkStrike who's picks included the 1st half to have more goals, and no team to equalise. Whilst FinnanFOREngland has had an average season, DarkStrike has impressed in his maiden season and this trophy may just be a small sign of what's to come in his first full season next year.

Commiserations to FinnanFOREngland and congratulations to DarkStrike!

Yipeeeeeee, thanks for the update, STBC. Not bad for a latecomer on this game.

I really thought I've lost, when Falcao scored his brace, but I was just too good.

Maybe better luck next time round, FFE.

I'm signing up for next season for sure.

So, one down, one more to go, better watch it.

Without even doing the inter-games update, I'm pretty sure the Pools will be bottom of the Pools part because of hitman

    Review
Well there we have it! I can now officially announce that the Pools Champion 2012 is Jayfire! He claimed his 2nd Pools title in 3 years, and in the end, it was achieved pretty easily with him finishing 25 points ahead of Hitmanlfc. In truth, it wasn't plain sailing for the majority of the season but the champ hit form when it mattered most and left others lagging behind. Congratulations to Jayfire!

Hitman's dismal round almost allowed SoontobeChampions to snatch his 2nd spot away from him, but he missed out by a point. Hitman infact was the only player not to score bonus points, meaning the Pools inter-games aspirations may be hit badly aswell! Nevertheless, Hitman has had an excellent first season in the game, as has SoontobeChampions who finished in a career high 3rd place. The list of impressive season performances go on as Baby1 and Tardelli59 put in a tremendous last round effort to finish in joint 4th.

Despite being in the top two or three all season, Madforit1 was the biggest faller of the round, finishing in a disappointing 6th place considering the position he has been in all year. Another decent round by Jelly5id wasn't enough to save him from slipping a place as LFCsince73 still managed to outscore him and move above Jelly in the process. Finally, in the top 10, Skidzy secured his position in a respectable 9th, whilst NACNUD somehow snook in through the back door as Tuta astonishingly fell out those top 10 spots.

The battle for top half positions was pretty much finished before the last round but DarkStrike and HatrikBerger still put in a good shift to finish the season on a high. Heading into the bottom half, Cumbrian returned to finish top of the bottom, with FinnanFOREngland and Gunner trailing just behind. FFE and Gunner both had another solid season, with cup final appearances being the highlight.

In the lower echelons of the league, SirStiffler and Shmar both maintained their respective 18th and 19th places, whilst the inconsistent 4ever was one of the rounds highest scorers which moved her into the top 20 for the first time this season! SonOfSid's regular posting over the last week paid dividends as he finally overtook SinglishScouser and Boston-Sox into 23rd. Tony finished last.

    WINNER: Jayfire

Hope you've all had an enjoyable season and I look forward to seeing you all back here next season. Congratulations Jayfire

    Enjoy
