    On SSN earlier, thoughts?

I think they could struggle big time without these, this coupled with RVP's injuries could mean huge trouble for Arsenal next season. Wojcech Sczenzey.

Cant see Csec getting a game in all honesty
I think he is a long term replacement for Xavi
The trio of Bussquets Xavi Iniesta work so well together it will be very hard to break into it

Whoever gets Nasri are on to a winner, quality player.
If he signs for city they will have a shed load of options but seem like sticking to a rigid 433 so some seriously unhappy players sitting on the bench

Tevez to Arsenal and Nasri to Man City straight swap . City to pay half Tevez's wages for first season, done deal

    Haha as if!
The beauty of city is they can afford to pay huge wages and let a player rot in the reserves if needed, no chance would they let Tevez go to a rival

Interesting if he did go tho, London is technically closer to his kids and wife than Manchester

If I was Wenger I'd be asking for Thiago Alcantra as part of the deal even if Barca insisted on a buy back option.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wenger has so much room to manouvre in the deal with Barcelona seeming to be so unbelievably dead set on signing Fabregas.

Both left out of the squad for the Newcastle game. Seems like there's a bit of truth in this...

Seems they've finally given up. Also Wilshere will be out of Newcastle's game due to an injury too.

Hmm, Newcastle 3/1. May be worth a punt.

they are likely to receive close to 60m for the pair of them

they could then buy a new Centre back, a powerful Centre Mid, and a creative attacking mid with that money, and be in a better position for the season.

we are testament to the fact that selling your best players and reinvesting the money can make you stronger.

they could probably get Cahill, Barton, Mata, Hazard, with that money.

Yes, but will they? Wouldn't be the first time they've sold big players and tried to replace them with youth. I really think Arsenal would benefit so much from a change of manager.

I think they must just be sick of Fabregas' whining and Nasri is entering his last year of his contract so they are happy to break even on him.

    Arsenals Difficulty is Liverpools Oppertunity.

Fabregas for £30mil is a joke, Barca always get players for insanely low prices - I'd hold out for £35mil + add ons minimum. Nasri's price is IMO a little bit too expensive even in this financial climate just as hes on his last year but a great signing if City do get him. Again though another player for me who won't dig deep if the going gets tough and that could be City's down fall (see Community Shield!), especially signing all these ex-Arsenal players.

To have any chance of competing next year, Wengers going to have to buy AT LEAST 2 quality players (Ideally one world class to replace Fab) or Arsenal won't have a strong enough First XI let alone strength in depth to stay in the Top 4. Can't see Mata leaving for anything less than £30mil now so he may be a big ask and Hazard won't be leaving at least until next summer.

On the plus side we couldn't have chosen a better time to play Arsenal away next week! Players will be unsettled ans unsure whats going on - a lot like ours last year! If anyones champs league spot is up for grabs its theirs and with Spurs not spending insane amounts like they usually do it looks like it should well be ours

Let's be honest about Nasri, apart from a 4-5 month spell last season, has he really been that good? Pretty average and inconspicuous a lot of the time. One of the most overrated players in England, for me. Fabregas will be a big loss though.

They also give them ridiculous buy-out clauses. I think Sky sports news reported Mascherano has a 75mil buy out clause in his contract. Messi's is over 100mil.

Well, it's law that every player must have a buyout clause, so it makes sense to give them insanely high clauses to fend off interest and poachers?

Thiago Alacantra's is around 80 million too.

Well £30mil for Masch and he becomes £75mil is a bit of a joke. I can understand why they do it though.

i think they will cope with losing fabregas better than losing nasri. i really rate ramsey and think him and wilshire will be very talented together.

but there midddle three before van persie is now very average. Walcott, Arshavin and Gervinho.

They know nobody will pay £75m for him, they don't actually rate him that highly. It's to give them room for bargaining if selling any players. They're hardly going to buy him for £20m, then give him a similar release clause, are they?

I really don't see the hype with Ramsey. Sure, he looks like a decent young midfielder, but people talk of him as a top player already, when he's done very little to show this. As for Arshavin, I've said from day one he's VERY overrated. Do not rate him one bit.

We always knew Fabregas was going, I never expected Nasri to be leaving too though.

They're seeing the light. Arsenal are the joke of the Premier league, all this fancy passing for what? No Champions league. Plus they had the chance to go top of the Premier league and instead they get knocked out of every Cup competition they're in within a week.

I really have no idea why Wenger changed such a winning formula he had. The likes of Pires, Henry, Bergkamp etc...playing the nice football, with the likes of Gilberto Silva, Vieira, Petit...doing the dirty work and breaking up the play. He seems to have completely ditched that side of the team, and gone for 'total football' and it's not working. Really cannot understand it and honestly think Arsenal could do with a change of manager.
