The Verve-Bittersweet Symphony
Best song of the decade imo.
I am expecting this to be a thread full of great songs like the 80s.
birdhouse in your soul, they might be giants.
loved it.
memories from the dance floor, the awkwardness as you tried to look smooth infront of the girls but when you danced, looking like your grandad being stung by a swarm of wasps and wearing clothes that might have looked better if you had bought your actual correct size.
thats what these songs mean to me.![]()
One of the decade's best bands:
Nirvana -Pennyroyal Tea
Nirvana -Heart Shaped Box
Nirvana -Come As You Are

The Verve -The Drugs Don't Work
This song holds some bitter sweet memory's for me. Loved the song but always brings back to when my Mum was dying in hospital.

Sorry to hear that This pilgrim. Yes love this song and and particularly the guitar bits. Always liked it over bittersweet symphonies.

8 August 1994 was a defining day in history of Rock N Roll. It was the day live forever was released and aptly this song has lived forever for me.

B-Side to "I Wanna Be Adored" by The Stone Roses. The song was pre-1990, but wasn't released until '91. #Technicality.
