As we can see the media have the knives out for Andy and are smelling blood. Even cappello is having his say which don't help! He is 22 FFS and it's only 3 games into the season!
Please let's support our players and don't get sucked into the media frenzy!

Well said, yet again its that time where we defend our own after the media get their claws in. These media headlines and articles just get worse and worse everytime, I dread to think what kind of crap they will come out with this time next year.

    Well said sir, repped!

Carroll is a Liverpool player and wears his shirt with pride. The goals have not been coming as often as any of us would like but he is clearly trying and doing all he can to to help the team and get the goals that we all want to see. I beleive that all that he needs is a little confidence and to stop worrying that it hasnt happened yet and the only way this will happen is for ALL LFC fans to get behind him and support everything he does, even when he has a below par performance. His pricetag has come with pressure, we need to forget about that and hope that he does too.

    AC will come good!

I already am behind him, there have been quite a few of these 'Get behind Carroll' posts and i think the same things are being echoed a bit too much, whilst i agree of course in supporting him all the way, lets let him play some good football now.

He needs to show us what he is capable of, then any doubters can eat their hats.

    Cheers lads all returned.

For England I am surprised as for Andy he has one goal in 2 starts which is great!
Media is on a witch hunt for sure twisting capello's words to rip into Andy!

Carroll seemed to play his best Football when he was babysat by Kevin Nolan.

Perhaps a couple of months at chez Carra will get him firing again...

There is always going to be some morons questioning his price tag.

The ones that get me is the so called "Liverpool Fans" that are doing it.

The ones that are complaining about him i bet were the first ones last year to complain about us not spending a penny.

They should be greatful are owners are taking risks, and at least spending this sort of cash.

This time a few years back under our previous owners, even if we sold the squad for 100m+ We wouldnt get 35m back to re invest.

Its not exactly like we are throwing the money away, he is 22, strong, tall, an excellent header of the ball and he has a demons left foot on him.

Why people are questioning his abilities now is beyond me its three games into the season.

I still say suarez & kuyt should teach Andy carroll to talk some Dutch

suarez said he and kuyt talk Dutch to each other which confuses defenders and works well to their advantage I think they should do the same with carroll even if its just the basics.

I can see saurez talking dutch & carroll pulling out a translation book...

    oh yeah shoot.

    he scores

The criticism is justified, he's not performing and his fitness is obviously still an issue (he was supposed to have trimmed down during his first full pre-season, what in god's name was he doing in that time?).

Regardless, I'm behind Carroll all the way.

Carroll will realy kick off big time for us. We have to bear in mind that we have only just signed a genuine wide player in Downing, now we have also added Bellamy to the squad. These players will really help Carroll as will Gerrard when he returns. We have made a good start but it's very early days. Give Kenny time to get the right balance in his front 6, Carroll will be a key player for us once we really get going.

Our front 6 now is as good as any, so many options, pace, aggression, expeience, height, tricky, bit of spite,energy...

    Suarez,Bellamy,Carroll,Downing,Kuyt,Gerrard,Adam,L ucas,Henderson..

Can't wait to wipe the smirk of Snivilles face and his mates at Skychester..

I totally agree with what you say, unfortunately though this attack on Carroll will only justify some peoples opinion of him as a player.
The only way to keep the doubters quiet, is for Andy to find his best form and I'm sure he will do that very soon. He is still quite young, and moving to a club as big as Liverpool for so much money has in my mind put too much pressure on him for now. once he settles down and adapts to this squad, I'm sure he will be banging them in for fun.

Carroll hasn't got an inch of fat on him, what the ****** are you talking about? He worked damn hard first two games as well. It wasn't a lack of effort.

I hope you're not one of those fans who love the lazy prancy boy aquilani, that was a lad who needed some fitness training. Seen the local fat club move more in a session than that lad

i keep watching this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z258UPOSybg of him, and think that if people keep picking on him, he wont reach this level anytime soon. If we get on his back and support him He will reach this level (which is awesome) in no time!

Maybe a more regular Chant for Carroll would increase his confidence ? I noticed against Bolton when Carroll and Maxi came on, the croud started to Chant for Maxi. Maxi is good and im always glad when the Kop Chants, but maybe chanting for Carroll would increase his confidence a lot?

Yes to be fair to Aquilani, Comolii said his attitude was first class thruout, only ever wanted to play, never tried to exploit his wage situation, would have accepted a permenant move even if it meant less money.Issues over his pyhsical suitability to the Prem but in truth he really did't get enough game time to prove it one way or another.

Yes Rafa should have spent the money on Suarez, when he looked at the boy but Jol the then Ajax manager wanted £20m.

But Carroll will be up to it, just as long as he steers clear of any serious injuries.

Did I actually mention he was overweight? No, and when I mean trimmed down I meant he needs to improve his fitness. I simply believe his aerobic capacity fitness component is below what is expected of him. He might have worked 'damn hard' in his first two games, and it's good to see that he's making an effort, but he'd be able to cover ground at a faster rate if he was able to deliver more oxygen to his working muscles. In fact, he probably needs to work on his anaerobic capacity, he seems to tire quickly after short efforts which means his muscles are unable to tolerate the hydrogen ions and inorganic phosphate accumulation in his bloodstream as a result of the anaerobic breakdown of glucose.

I'm not questioning his ability, commitment or attitude on the field, but none of that is going to matter if he isn't able to aerobically generate the required energy to last him the 90 minutes of a high intensity game, or be able to tolerate anaerobic by-products produced from his high intensity burst efforts with and without the ball.

Oh and Aquilani is a good player, and whatever you think about him he travels twice the distance Carroll does in a game. So I guess based on pure fitness the 'local fat club' would perform better than Carroll.

    Agreed and repped!

Andy Carrol does need to find his form to shutup the doubters...but going out on the lash more often than not won't help the lad!
There also reports of him having a liking for a White line not on a football pitch...

Basically he needs a good hiding, physical or verbal! It saddens me as a supporter of this great club to see a lad with sooo much potential to throw it all away like this!

So all I can say is god help him! Fix up Mr Carrol and become a legend for us and we will love you for it! Continue as you are and there will be hell to pay! Not only will the media destroy you, the fans will despise you!

    In King Kenny we trust!

    YNWA!

I know sooner or later Andy is going to become a monster of a striker for Liverpool. We've seen glimpses of that but to be fair to the lad he's had a few injuries, now he's fit it just needs time to gel with the squad.

    repped.

He came here injured and didn't have a chance to get bedded in properly last season so he's like a new player almost. He's playing with new players and a new style of play. He's getting fitter and if he'd have had better luck and better refereeing decisions he'd have scored a couple more goals this season and nobody would be mentioning a thing. He's young, talented and I have every faith he will score lots of goals for the club. It's ridiculous that we're three games in and he's getting stick.

Why should andy carrol get any special support from the rest of LFC players? Every player will get the support he deserves and if Andy Carrol thinks projecting his drunkard, unfit image is cool then he should deal with what he gets from the media. If Andy Carrol is rubbish at the moment, I not gonna pretend he is not and singing the songs of fake praise in the hope that its good for his confidence. He is only 22, and for the 2 months of training he should have been fully fit by now.

He must be doing something not right
