Artist Soulja Boy, has released a new song that includes the phrase "**** THE ARMY TROOPS" he contiues on to say how "hard" and "real" he is and how "fake" our (VETS) are. but anytime he wants to defend that statement I know a lot of people who would gladly oblige..
You may be shocked to hear that not everyone likes the Army or what it stands for.
Anyway, in his case, it is a ploy to get public attention to his song, ignore it, I will.
It doesn't work very well given his name.
Pretty sure he is trying to pull a NWA out of his ***. Except when the NWA said '**** the police', it was because of the racial tension and real problems that were happening in Compton and across US.
Souja boy, or however you spell it, is a **** and needs to quickly go away.

People can quite easily disrespect anything.
For those who are too stupid to realise - I've got nothing but respect for the armed forces by the way.
Respect has to be earned in my opinion. If a thug joins the army, does that automatically mean we must respect him?? Not in my opinion.
The actions of a small minority of British troops in regards to abuses in Iraq do not help matters. Torture and abuse is always wrong, no matter the cause.
That being said, this guy is obviously just an attention-seeking rapper who is looking to sell more records by being pinned as a rebel.
Im just surprised some ******* record company was happy to record and release it I wont be buying it thats for damn sure.

This is a glib and potentially very dangerous sentiment.
I know he likes to "superman them ho's" or something.
Most Nazi soldiers were just "fighting for their country" as someone put it.
I'm not for a minute comparing UK or Brittish troops of today with them - nothing but respect for the majority of them. Just pointing out that it's hardly a reason to automatically assume they are beyond reproach.
That's what I was alluding to, I just didn't want to be the one who first fell foul of Godwin's Law on this thread.
its not that offensive, some troops are fantastic brave people, others are thugs or lunatics in uniforms capable of atrocities...being a soldier doesn't entitle you to being instantly immune to any criticism etc.....though why get worried over some no mark's comments who half of us haven't heard of is beyond me

A vast majority of German soldiers fighting on the front line opposed Hitler's ideology, but it was either fight for Germany or be murdered by someone in the Waffen SS.
It's not the German boots on the ground that you should disrespect it's organisations like the Waffen SS and the hierarchy of the Nazi regime that were the war criminals.
German Soldiers were no different to American Soldiers, British Soldiers, Australian Soldiers fighting in World War II, they were just Soldiers doing their jobs and many died as a result.
I couldn't agree more. As someone who has ambitions of becoming a Soldier in the British Army, I for one couldn't care less what some civilian I've never met thinks about the job occupation I have chosen to apply to do.
I'm not joining the Army because I want civilians to run around branding me a hero. I want to join for the simple fact I want to be Soldier. If people choose to praise me for it or criticise me for it, is of no concern to me.
Why? This isn't a loaded question, I'm genuinely interested.
It appeals to me my very nature, it seems like a high taxing job, yet a ultimately rewarding one. I believe the Army will help improve me as a person.
I've wanted to be a Soldier for as long as I care to remember, I seem to remember reading about the Battle of Arnhem and feeling very inspired by the tales of courage and bravery in the face of adversity that the British Airborne Forces displayed during Operation Market Garden and ever since then I've wanted to wear the Maroon Beret and Parachute Regiment cap badge.
Then I wish you all the best I used to be like you I served 3 years and loved it if it wasnt due to a bad injury I would probably still be there
Certain artists, Rage Against The Machine spring to mind, have campaigned endlessly to achieve expression through music without the suits banning everything that is thought provoking.
Unfortunately, some artists have crossed the line with uneducated lyrics and shock tactics.
