This post may not please some people and I do not in some cases mean to offend anyone, however for the last 12 years I have sat on my hands and done nothing about something I feel so strongly about.
First of all let me educate before I rant and rave.......(this is in case you didn\'t know)
Virtually, ever year since Hillsborough, there has been a cross denomination service held at Anfield in rememberance to the People who lost their lives at Hillsborugh in 1989. The service covers all aspects and is not religious driven more, a congregation of people gathered together to join in remembering the people who died doing something they loved.....and which you still love today.
I find it very disturbing that a team that has so called huge support and so called the best supportes in the world and so called the voice of football - CANNOT attract more than around 8,000 people to attend these services. This biggest support was shown at the 10th Anniversary at other times the gathering has merely filled half of the Kop.
I understand people have work lives, people have personal lives, people have things they can\'t put off till tomorrow - but at least you have a life to complete these tasks. We must remember and never forget the people that died that tragic day. As supporters of the greatest football club in the world we must join together to show our support to the families in their rememberance to show the families their sons, daughters, fathers, uncles, loved ones did not die forgotten heros.
Lets fill the ground - why not ?? Why can\'t we have 40,000+ people there singing You\'ll Never Walk Alone - is there more appropiate time than this to sing our anthem ?
If you weren\'t at Hillsborough in \'89 that doesn\'t matter your support now is what matters.
If it means you taking a day of work...take a days holiday phone in sick who cares. Life is about priorities well my friends I don\'t see a higher priority task for any of you to do on 15th April 2002.
Please do not see this as me dictating to you as what you should do....but ask yourselves the question - should the people that died ever be forgotten.....if the answer is no they shouldn\'t, then I will see you there, if you feel they should then......
Take Action and join in the support of the families.
They will always be remembered - they will never walk alone
