Liverpool will host the first NextGen Series semi-final against Ajax at Anfield on March 14 (7pm), with Inter Milan facing Marseille in the other semi-final at Brentford’s Griffin Park on March 21.

Liverpool were beaten by Tottenham in the quarter-finals but were reinstated after the London club fielded an ineligible player.

Yet again, the Daily Mail gets it wrong.

ORIENT'S Brisbane Road will host the final of the NextGen Series on Sunday March 25 (1.30pm kick-off).

The NextGen Series has seen 16 top Academy sides from across Europe compete for the coveted NextGen Series Trophy, which is in its inaugural year.

Sanctioned by UEFA and the FA, the tournament has been established to assist young players in making the transition from youth football to senior level.

The competiton is now down to its final four teams - Liverpool, Ajax, Inter Milan and Marseille - who will all be competing to take the honours in E10 in late March.

Liverpool face Ajax in the first semi-final at Anfield on March 14, with Inter and Marseille facing off at Brentford's Griffin Park a week later.

The winners of the ties will then lock horns at Brisbane Road for the honour of becoming the first ever NextGen Series champions.

I can't wait for this game against Ajax, I really have a good feeling about it. Either way, watching the reserves is far more enjoyable than the first team how embarrassing

I can't reply to him(on my blocked list) but really turn down the chance to watch Liverpool for a chelsea match, It wouldn't surprise me if we had some fans that would rather watch barca against madrid than Liverpool against Wigan.

People will be begging for Sterling to start against Everton, nope that's not going to happen because he will be playing against Ajax on Wednesday...

Not at all, I will always watch a Liverpool game of course. What planet are you on.

You make it sound like im turning down a 1st team game. Ive watched my fair share of U18s and Reserves this year along with NextGen Series games against Sporting and Spurs. They are good games and its good to see the youngsters but i've no shame in admitting i've got more interest in the Champions league than an under 19s game. I said i'll catch the fist half anyway but i will most likely be out on a Wednesday and have a few friends who are Chelsea fans. I doubt anywhere will be showing Liverpool Under19s over Chelsea vs Napoli.

Have to agree. Sterling & Suso are exciting. Hope they can work their way into the first team eventually.

Pace of Sterling & the creativity of Suso, they should start getting 20 minutes here and there in the league.

If we're not in the Champions League, I couldn't care less about it. I'm much more interested in our up and coming young players than some random team like Chelsea. But that's just me.

I can't either, and it's quite sad that i probably prefer to watch the reserves more then the first team. Rodolfo has them playing attractive possesion football with great movement. I don't enjoy watching the U-18s as much as i did last year but you can see that they play in a similar way, and it's refreshing to see that the academy is nutruring all these kids to play in the same system so that when they make the step up everyone allready knows what to do. Since the Tottenham game Sterling has been immense, and Suso is really starting to see some form again, should be a good match.

Remember last season, when people itk were saying the u17s were even better than the u18s? Well, we've had a chance to see them in action now. What do you reckon?

    --------------------Belford--------------------

    Flanagan---Sama--Wisdom--Robinson

    -------------Roberts--Coady----------------

    -----Suso--------Adorjan-----Sterling-----

    --------------------Ngoo----------------------

As subs: Ward, McLaughlin, Regan, McGiveron, Mendy, Roddan, Morgan.

I see Rodolfo put in the usual lineup (4-2-3-1). I hope he gives Adam Morgan the opportunity to come in and show his skills and eye for the goal. To beat Ajax we'll need a deed, I am sure. Come on you young Reds!

I hope Flanagan plays. I'm not convinced by McLaughlin.

Like i say, I've watched plenty of U18s and Reserves when i've been free and its been on LFCTV. & I said I will definately be tuning in to the first half, and who knows, might watch it all. Probably will to be honest once i get into it.

Hope Sterling has a gooden, I honestly think he should be pushing for a bench place, but I understand them not wanting to fastrack him and put pressure on him. Think we will have to wait till Pre Season.

Sterling started the season slowly, but has worked his way into form. He just needs to work on his final product and his left foot. I can't wait for him to be tested in the first team!

I think to see the difference in the 2 teams you only have to look at Adam Morgan, last year in his first year in the U-18s he scored alot of goals and went 16 games in a row or something like that scoring every game. This year in his second year in the U-18s he hasn't been so prolific. I think he's improved as a player but just doesn't have the same quality around him for the service. He's had to improve other parts of his game. Last year he just relied on his instincts and his off ball movement to score, this year he's had to hold the ball up and improve his game on the ball to get involved. I think Rodolfo has alot to do with they way Morgan played last year, aswell as all the creative players who went with him into the Reserves.

The players that have caught my eye this year in the U-18s are Jack Dunn, Jordan Lussey, Yalany Baio. Jordan Ibe and Nacho have looked good since they've been involved. Overall i think they haven't been as good as last year but this is most of their first year in the U-18s so hopefully next year they will improve.

I think Robinson is injured so might be Mclaughlin at RB and Flanno at LB, Micheal Roberts is too old to play so Craig Roddan will partner Coady in the middle with Morgan maybe in for a shout up top as he only played 45mins against Sheffield Wednesday.

Big night for the reserves..I suppose you could call it their equivalent of a Champions League semi-final.

Looking to see them back up their superb performance against Tottenham where they were very unlucky to lose but fate played its just part for them to be re-instated.

Good luck to the lads ..standout performances from Morgan, Sterling and Suso should do the biz against a very talented Ajax youth team.

Wooooo. Can't wait! Really hope the lads win. If Sterling, Suso, Adorjan, Coady and Ngoo (or Morgan) perform like they have been recently then they have every chance to progress!

Can anybody tell me.... Are tickets available on the door? The info provided on the website suggests you could only buy from the ticket office last week.

    Ajax will be toughie.

Sporting ran all over us twice in the Group stages, think it was 3-0 and 5-0 ? can't remember precisely. Is this Ajax side even better ? I know they beat Barca 3-0 in the last round.

Lets hope the lads can give them a game.

Apparently, they struggled just as much as we did in the group stages. We took a while to get going this season, and I think Ajax did too. With both teams performing well, this game might just be the game of the tournament so far.
