I just wonder what's the best formula to beat Manure!

I noticed that teams which are more defensive and play narrower with a counter attack plan fair better against Manure. Barca's case does not apply!

    No.

Pressing, dominate in midfield, take any chances that they are bound to give away.

Easy one this, take United's luck off them and get a fair referee.

play them with an intent to win, they are not very good under pressure, most teams play them and try not to lose.

Give Suarez the ball and let him dance through their entire defence again.

Failing that play a high pressure game, close down their centre midfielders regularly (Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson all struggle under pressure). Isolate Vidic and/or Ferdinand with a pacy player, Ferdinand doesn't have the legs anymore and one thing Torres proved time and time again is that Vidic is prone to mistake when dealing with a direct attacker constantly running at him.
I think probably the most import thing on their current form though is cutting out their supply from the wings, not an easy task, but if successful it will nullify their threat significantly.

they have a fantastic attack but the middle of the park is weak and the defense is often bad poositioned, the only way to beat them is to aTTACK, let them attack they will break you down they are too good, attack them you hVEW a chance, you may get thrashed but you may thrash them

On current form, play your own game and take your chances and it seems very much possible. Stoke and Basle were all unlucky not to beat them. If Norwich knew how to finish they probably would of atleast got a point out of the game, they had enough clear cut chances. Just need to defend well, and the chances seem like they'll come along against them currently.

utd thrive on fear, there is nothing they love more than a team which is overly cautious and backs off them, which is scared to venture forwards. Breaking down overly cautious teams who just go out to prevent them playing and fingers crossed, get a draw, is something utd have made into a fine art.

What they don't like are teams who aren't afraid to get at them & press and chase them down all over the pitch. Teams who aim to keep a disciplined and organised defence but who aren't afraid to commit men to going forward in order to put the ball in the back of the net.

Ideally we'll get off to a good tempo, we'll press them all over the pitch and aim to give them as little time on the ball as possible so they don't have time to pick and plan their moves. I've noticed that our team seems to have problems maintaining composure in a fast paced game but that is an important quality to have. As others have said, it will be important to dominate the midfield battle and come out on top.

Smash them off the park how we usually do. Run more, think more, want it more. Dirkodinho could be massive in this game. They are not unbeatable, you just have to make sure their midfield can't settle on the ball and take the chances we get before they do. If Dirk can tire them out and nick a goal, then Bellamy is an amazing option on the bench. If he runs at the centerbacks they've had it. Rio Ferdinand starting is our best chance of winning.

kicking rooney out of game and scoring more goals...also the refs can help by not playing more than the added extra time....

You have to consider the post I was quoting, which you will see I was indicating that their 19 titles was based on luck and unfair ref, so thanks Raymondo.

I am a true LFC fan, but sometimes I admire the way Man United plays.
They don't have the best players, but somehow they get confidence, an attack instinct. The want to win, they are ambitious.
And come on, imagine how this players would do in another team: Fletcher, Anderson, Smalling, Carrick. Probably not too good.

They don't have the best squad in the league.

But maybe the answer to that is very simple: Fergusson.

And imagine if our new signings were at Man United. Would they do the same? More than here? Less than here?

    Just my opinion.

Also, I think that Liverpool is capable of beating them. Their defence isn't too great, i can see many goals in this one.

Don't take it for granted mate. In our last 10 home league fixture against manure, they've won 5, drew 1, and lost 4.

Its extremely difficult. You have to have a combination of good or maybe great players or an off day from the united boys. You have to be extremely strong in defence. You have to deny space in particular to their wide players who will be a constant threat with their pace and accurate crossing and Wayne Rooney. You usually have to look for more then one goal on the account that no matter what they have the handy nack of scoring at least once.

The particular weaknesses to attack are the central midfield and the full backs. Areas in which we've enjoyed a great deal of success. We have benefited by playing a high energy pressing game led by Lucas who revels in these games. Kuyts constant work and up and down the right flank not only troubles Evra but keeps the left midfielder quiet. Hopefully with the excellent Enrique we'll keep Nani quiet. If we can trouble Evra again, this often leads to the collapse in the centre. Vidic often struggles against us because of the pressure we put on Evra and he seems to make the mistake of trying to fight the fires left behind by Evra. They might not have this problem this time as I believe Fletcher is available and will provide vital cover in this area for United. Its going to be a massive test for Jones. One area we could exploit is Jones' habit of taking the ball out of defence. If we can catch him on one of those breaks we could exploit the gaps. A goal conceded in such a situation would test Jones confidence.

The key will obviously be Suarez. They will no doubt look to single him out for attention, so its unlikely he'll be dancing through the defence again. But his movement and trickery will still cause problems and it will be up to Carroll, Downing and other attackers like Gerrard and Bellamy to exploit that.

As I've stated though it will be extremely difficult despite the last result. They will be dangerous in whatever form they arrive in. We can beat them and better still Kenny has already done it.

Put them under pressure on the ball. They have a fairly young team and an inexperienced back four (when Ferdinand and Vidic are out, which is often), and its as yet unclear whether they can deal with a lot of pressure throughout a game.

As long as it's not Howard 'Bobby Charlton' Webb, I'd even settle for Rowan Atkinson.

Use pace down the wings, i.e. Downing and/or Henderson, work it down the byline (or onto Carroll's head), knock it back for Babel to knock into the top of the net. Errr... wait...

Just give it to Gerrard, he'll know what to do.

That's the key. Must press them well and not allow them time on the ball. If we do it well, then I say we have a very good chance of getting the three points
