Newcastle haven't won a major trophy since 1969. They swap managers like most women swap recipes. If Biffa Bacon was made manager they'd support him to the hilt 'cos he's a geordie like'. They are not a stable club. Their fans are friendly but have no football nous. You couldn't have given a less apt example. Their relevance to LFC is zilch.

Kenny is keen for the team to evolve! But the only ENTITY that can make it happen is Fenway Sports Group!
CEREDED were you so trigger happy when *** was getting slaughtered? No i didnt think so.
3 year contract say no more he`s doing just fine, 1 cup in the bag already I love Kenny the main reason being first and foremost he is a Liverpool fan just as much as we all are , we are in safe hands , its not his fault if sometimes the players don't perform for him , but they can work on it , and we can work on getting behind our team and kenny , and doing wot we used to do and sing Y.N.W.A even when we loose , even badly it puts a strong message out , that we aint like other fans who boo there team and managers , 1 of my fav Anfield memories is when we lost 6 -3 to arsenal in the cup , even no we lost the kop still sang Y.N.W.A And clapped the players off , SO EVERYBODY and especially those who have questioned Kenny in recent weeks KEEP CALM BE PATIENT & LET HIM DO HIS JOB I DONT CARE IF WE DON'T MAKE TOP 4 KENNY HAS A 3 YEAR CONTRACT LETS JUDGE HIM WHEN THAT IS FOR FILLED
THEN I WILL LAFF MY BUM OFF WITH ALL THOSE WITH EGG ON THERE FACE WHEN OUR TROPHY ROOM HAS BIT MORE SILVERWARE TO POLISH

KING KENNY FULLLLLLLLLLL SUPPORT END OFF
IGNORE MEDIA CRAP AND WOODEN SPOON STIRRING
Kenny bought Adam and Downing off the back of successful seasons with their former respective clubs, its not his fault they've failed to bring their consistency with them.
Carroll and Henderson can't really be judged yet as both were bought for their potential so I think they need more time to be judged.
Well that is a failing in our scouting and knowledge of both players then. A brief knowledge of Downing's career would inform anyone that the last time he moved clubs he was poor in his first season. A knowledge of Adam at Blackpool would inform anyone of why Adam might struggle here and why he struggled at a bigger club before Blackpool. The evidence was there to explain why they may not be able to bring their past form here. They just didn't seem to look.
Carroll and Henderson aren't 18 year olds. They both have previous in this league. We seem to have judged Carroll on four months of form. They just didn't do enough homework on him and his limitations and instead had their heads turned by the figures from that purple patch.
Carroll and Henderson will certainly get more time because otherwise their signings make certain LFC staff look wasteful with the resources they were given.
They have brought their consistency with them. They've both been pretty consistent all season.
Did you mean 'ability'? If so, I'd beg to differ with Adam (he's probably done a little better than I thought he would), and would agree - but only to a certain extent - with Downing.
As for Carroll and Henderson, I'd like to see both given more time, but can understand why Carroll in particular doesn't get given the time given his transfer fee (although I have stated, and continue to state, that his fee should be a complaint directed not at the player, but the people who bought him, I can understand why people judge him now). Actually, I think they can be judged to some extent now, but that most people do it badly.Henderson in particular, I think comes in for an unfair amount of criticism.
Didn't Comolli say last summer that we're strengthening the foundations of the squad, and then at a later date we will add additional quality to this squad (with first team players)? So if that's the case then this summer we should see first team players coming in which will hopefully be high quality. It's good to hear Comolli was at Bilbao yesterday, we have more chance of signings players from clubs in a similar league position to Bilbao than teams already cemented in their leagues champions league spots. Plus the players might not be world class, but they'll have that room for improvement such as when we signed Alonso/Torres/Masch.
One of your favourite moments was when we lost 6-3 to Arsenal? so your telling me you were jumping around at the final whistle?!! proof read your posts before posting - you will not look so stupid in future. I wasn't happy that day, infact am never happy when we lose!!! Would you be happy finishing 7th the for the next 3 years and maybe winning a couple of cups? lets say 2 carlings and an FA cup? Do you think top foreign players are bothered about carling and fa cups?
Love Kenny, he is part of the reason why we were so successful. 3 years of buying average players and paying them good money, 3 years of not being in the CL, what effect will that have on our club?
That's one of the worst reasons to buy someone, and especially for big money in the case of Downing. One thing most people knew about Downing is that his good seasons were surrounded by ordinary ones. Adam had A/ONE successful season, his only in the top flight, that at a piddly club where he was the main man and taking a lot of their set pieces and penalties. I think we got sucked into another situation of being so determined to sign someone that we lost sight of objectivity.
And didn't his form dip completely after January of his first season in the Premiership?
A club struggling to get back into the top four and CL, could and probably will be THREE seasons in a row, can't afford to spend over £50m on two "potential" players. It's not rocket science, and I think Carroll probably crosses over into the first comment you made about a good season, and like Adam there wasn't enough evidence/experience in the top flight to make a proper judgement.
As a whole, Dalglish has bought poorly. The main reason he bought all Enlglish-based players was because they are so called proven in the league, adapt quickly and get off the block faster. None of this is true as we now know. Adam is a very poor buy and playing as the critical central midfielder, he is one of the main reasons why we are struggling to get goals. His service to the front players has been generally poor and he does not get into the box enough to threathen the other teams. Gerrard against Everton reminds us again what a midfielder should be doing. Join the attack and make yourself available for a shot. The fact that Dalglish has so much faith in Adam and starts him in almost every game despite the consistent poor performances is very worrying.
I guess we have to hope Adam gets so much time simply because hes a good lad and is being given a shot ... combined with Gerrard's fragile nature and the Lucas injury then he was always going to be involved a lot.
My fear would be seeing us move forward with Adam still hugely involved game to game ...
Wembley again lads - you modern fans are starting to be spoilt a bit. Win at Wembley and we are there again...3 visits in a season...the kind of rich diet I was brought upon watching the mighty LFC conquer the world...you have to start somewhere and I'll tell you now....we all know league results have no way been good enough but winning two domestic cup competitions would be a major achievement. I know as much as anyone else that Kenny wil be ultimately judged by whether he brings the title back to Anfield and we have GOT to finish top four next season as a bare minimum.
But posters on here who only want league titles and European Cups should realise that even the mighty Barca have only won the EC/CL 4 times in 55 years. WINNING ANY COMPETITIVE TROPHY IS NOT EASY.
There are only 3 domestic competitions and 1 European competition you enter each season so out of the 20 teams in the PL, 16 will always end up with nothing. In the 22 years since KENNY last won us the league we have won 9 major competitive cup finals and whilst this is not good enough for LFC, I am one of those fans who SAVOURS the moment and each piece of silverware for what it is in its' own right.
LFC 41 major trophies. (36 in 48 years). And many more to come!
Manu 40 (albeit including 1 Fifa and Toyota WC)
EFC 15 (in 134 years).
What a club this is lads and gals, you are privileged to support it.

Groundhog day. Kenny is staying to see out his contract - 2 finals already and only 15 months into the job. League form will and must improve next season, top four a minimum requirement but hey, this season can be deemed a moderate success if we win the FA Cup.

I disagree. There's still a lot of players who shouldn't be here. Personally I'd get rid of Henderson, Adam, Kuyt and Aurelio.
Let's face it...you're very disagreeable to begin with...Anyone who can't savour the moment of a deserved FA Cup semi-final victory at Wembley against Everton cannot be considered a member of Liverpool's traditional fanbase but more a mealy-mouthed, fault finding neurotic-depressive, miserable, knit-picking, moaning, glass half empty, whining, no mark, never happy unless their crying, cry baby, fault finding, narky-arrsed, bitter. Go join the bluenoses.
Great result yesterday but probably the most telling news was the fact that Fenway are absolutly ruthless and will not dodge big decisions. They are going to bring lasting success to this club. They will do it with or without Kenny. If he doesn't produce next season, they will act.
Some fans knocked them for missing the Hillsborough anniversary and the game. This again suggests to me that they are not going to let any sentiment get in the way of any decision. Perhaps they should have had a high profile person here for the anniversary. But still.
I actually like the fact that they have, in a sense, put down a marker saying almost we will not tolerate second best.
Succeed or pay the price. Like it.
This.
They are ruthless and very clever men. By strolling into town and sacking who they did they have taken out those (mainly Comolli) who can take the blame away from Dalglish. Now Dalglish has had his protecton taken away he is now isolated and the can be no questions about any wrong decisions or poor form.
It would have been nice if they where here today but understandable anyway as they do live on the otherside of the Atlantic.
If he plays the same lineup and formation in the final, you can be guarenteed we'll lose.
HE WON'T...WE WON'T...HORSES FOR COURSES.
KD has forgotten more about football than you will ever know. You are always so negative. Not a traditional LFC in the true meaning of the sense. Sorry.
But yesterday was a great occasion, a great performance, a great result. You should be savouring it.
I really don't think they have sacked Comolli to 'take away Kenny's protection', to put the spotlight on Kenny, so to speak. They sacked Comolli because they weren't happy with the results he was getting with regard to the responsibilities under his remit.
If they thought the same applied to Kenny they would get rid of him. It wouldn't be in their interests not to.
If Kenny is assembling an awesome squad then he has a long long long way to go in my opinion - this squad is still well below par!
Maybe they fear a backlash as those who fiercely support him will blame Comolli. But if things dont improve then the can be no doubt about who's to blame.
Your probably right but if I was in their position it would be the route I would take. They dont want to risk losing the support they currently enjoy. And in anycase I think Dalglish deserves to be given untill the end of the season for the FA Cup.
