Just bought the game from Steam. Haven't played any since Championship Manager 01/02 (The red one?)

I must say, what an absolute load of ****, how can anyone find this fun? Way too much to consider, what a waste of 20. Unless anyone can suggest what the fun aspects of the game are?

I'm into my third season with Newcastle- in my second season I lost the title 3 games to go with a stupid draw at home against Wolves. Man Utd managed to win their last 3 games and won it again!!!
my squad in second season was unbeliavable,
    GK Mandanda and Krul
defenders - santon, vrsaljko, M'Bengue, Shawcross, Samba, M'Bia, Taylor
midfielders - Shaquiri, Di Maria, Hazard, Gutierrez, Kovacic, Eriksen, Fernando, Cabaye
strikers - Ba, Cisse, Cardozo, Vela

I sold many players for 3-5 mil and I bought all player on 48 months pay out- I got 20 mil in summer of second year and it was enough to buy them all.
hazard was my only expensive signing - 30 mil pounds, had to sell Tiote and Collocini to get him.

TIP- If you use 48 months pay out with 20 mil you can sign players worth 60 mil or maybe even more. It will result in lower sum next summer but it is worth it, you qualify for CL and money will be available

Di Maria was cheap, he doesn't play for Madrid and I got him for 10 mil plus 65k per weak wages. Shaquiri goes in first season for 6-8 mil and low wages and for Eriksen Osasuna bid 8 mil and was accepted, then I made a bid and he chose me

What I don't understand is how these players wanted to go to Newcastle, during my game there were many top class players interested in signing which I found strange. Even Borussia D players that never want to leave (Subotic) was interested. Others were Modric,Bale, Falcao and Ibra in my 3rd season - can't afford them though.

Now sold Ba, Cisse, Gutierrez, Santon and bought great wonderkid striker and Kyle Walker - amazing player when properly developed. None of my players have wages higher then 65 k and I finished first in a group with Barcelona (Messi being injured for both games helped a lot).

Now takeover was finished, some local bussinesman bought the club but no aditional funds are there yet. I wouldn't like sugar daddy because it would make this game to easy - it is even without that.

another tip - Kovacic and Vrsaljko are top class players if you develop them, don't miss out because they cost 5 mil together.

Also I suggest you check out M'Bengue, don't know if my spelling is right - LB from French League- bought him for under 10 mil and is a great player - same as Aly Cisokho but younger and cheaper plus he develops more than Aly

There are no world class LBs so he should fit in any club

Samba is maybe the best CB in my opinion, has average rating of 7.6 and scores 10 goals per season from corners and free kicks. Worth 14 mil I paid for him. Shawcross is also very good, buy him if you need young and cheap CB, under 10 mil surely the best buy. Scores plenty too

Cardozo is the cheapest and bet DLF option out there, will score plenty and can play right striker in 442 wich I use (he is left footed) And him beeing DLF you can put P type of striker on the left side - Doumbia is a great option but there are plenty of others

No, buy Willian from Shakhtar. He becomes the Brazilian Messi. I think I paid under 10 million for him, and in his 2nd season with me (halfway through the season) he has 10 goals and 13 assists.

7 of his 10 goals have come in the the last 10 minutes of my games to win the game.

    He is awesome.

What's everyone's starting 11 like? Be interesting to see the variations. I usually go with:

    Reina
    Enrique/Robinson-Vertonghen-Agger-Azpilicueta
    M'Vila-Gerrard
    Suarez-Willian-Moura
    Cavani

    Jaaskelainen
    Bosingwa - Heinze - Coloccini - Santon
    Altintop - Tiote - Cabaye - Gutierrez
    Ba - Wood

Subs: Krul, Dembele, Spearing, S. Taylor, Tchoyi, Ben Arfa, Simpson, R. Taylor, Rochina, Ranger, Gosling, Marveaux, De Laet.

Though I do alternate between this and the 4-2-3-1 with Ben Arfa in behind Ba/Wood.

Biggest run of my season right here. After two years managing Liverpool with only a League Cup to my name and a few 2nd place finishes, I can really send a message here.

Tottenham at Anfield in the FA Cup.
Barcelona at Anfield in the first leg of the CL.
City at the Etihad in the Premier League. They're in 2nd place, 5 points behind me. Win that game and I am sitting pretty.

    Beat Tottenham 2-0.
Lost to Barca 3-2 after Coates got sent off.
Beat City 2-1. Went up after 15, they equalized in the 35th. Vertonghen sent off in the 56th minute. Weathered the storm, and my main man Willian scored a beautiful counter-attacking goal in the 87th. I'm 7 points clear in February, hope to keep it up.

I've done that for the challenge before. Near impossible to get into the top 5, especially as the players begin to age.

    They have a decent squad.

    I'm going with:
    Howard

    Coleman - Jagielka - Distin - Baines

    Rodwell - Fellaini

    Donovan - Cahill - Pienaar

    Jelavic

You wanna try get Lescott back. Lescott/Jagielka should be the England CB partnership imo.

Started a new game with AC Milan, don't usually go for big teams with loads of money, but I wanted to see how I could do. Bought Lavezzi, Fellaini and Hamsik. Sold half the oldies and Cassano.

5-0 up against Roma after 59 minutes. Not as bad as I thought I'd be. Debut goals for Lavezzi, Hamsik and Bertoni.

Roysten Drenthe on 55,000 p/w, and is my highest earner.

He won't start, and is only 2.5*.

    Might terminate the loan.

I'd do it. I always get rid of average players on high wages, it's the reason I got rid of most of the oldies from Milan, the majority were on over 100k p/w.

Plus, I'm Everton. Can't really afford to pay a lot of wages.

Been playing this nonstop the last few weeks.

With Celtic, had my best season yet, got 103 points in the league, won by like 40 points, totally dominated.

Had an excellent squad, including this regen who I signed for 2.3mil compo from Siena. Absolute boss. My XI:

    ST: Fiamenghi
    ST: Ante Vukusic
    AMC: Bernardo
    CM: Andrea Bertolacci
    CM: Mcdonald Mariga
    DM: Ricardo Borges (regen)
    LB: Mabaso (regen)
    CB: Stefan Bell
    CB: Guillermo Burdisso (hero)
    RB: Romario
    GK: Rensing

Also managed to make it to the UCL final!! 2-2 (away goals) win v Bayern in the first KO round, 5-4 agg win v Dortmund in quarters. Drew City in the semi, but smashed them 4-1 at Celtic Park and then draw at Etihad.

Had Real in the final, held them off for 70mins, but then conceded, went attacking and got destroyed. FT 0-4.

Resigned from Celtic, league was no longer a challenge and I'd never have another cup run like that. Went to Hamburg, just building my squad there now.

Also, Mexico won the 2014 World Cup.

Started a new game with Malaga, got pasted 5-1 by Sevilla in my opener. Martin Demichelis was responsible for every single goal scored. He's being sold to... Chelsea! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
