Some of andy's touches have been very good actually, especially his chest control. His control with his feet needs to improve but that will happen, an example being kuyt whose touch isn't actually bad now compared to what It used to be.
The reason he knocks it back to the player infront of him is most likely because he's been told to, the same tactics were used in my team. The ball is knocked back so the player could get it out into space in which the target man then runs into the box (which yes, Carroll should do more often).
The headers Carroll had were basically with the back of his head, the commentator in my stream highlighted the fact the crosses should be played a yard ahead of him so he can attack them better, rather than right above him.
Torres honestly gets more assists due to the numbers in the box, just watch Chelsea always seem to have a man available in the box. Torres doesn't take it past a few players than lay it off to a player for a tap in like you think e does.
carrol has no positioning sense thats why ball goes behind him. he is not told to give it back... why will gerrard and suarez even shelvey be frustrated and yell at him if he is told to do so by kenny?

and what you want to tell me ? carroll is better than torres or what ? you can keep dreaming but at the end carroll will end up like ngog cos they are the same quality

I must admit i am beginning to lose patience with the lad, im still behind him but i reckon that good season he had at newcastle might have just been a fluke.
Hope he can prove me wrong.

ultimately andy carrol is absolute balls. we can kid ourselves till we r blue in the face and say he has potential etc, but i bet in 5 yrs time hel be att a relegation zone side.

we can keep saying next yr is our yr till the cows come home, but the harsh reality is that the team is mid table and distinctly average. too many passengers imo who do jack all.

it just goes t show the senility of this chap, i dont know buti have a gut feeling the king might be passed it in terms of hacking it on the world stage. his mind seems elsewhere all the time- in the ether- and some of his comments are nothing short of eccentric. i dont know whats wrong with him? anyone know????

He's in the box, why put it right above him when you can put it infront of him so he can attack it and have a better chance of scoring? Positional sense in this case doesn't have much to do about it, it's more about the delivery.

And no I was just saying that torres hasn't done as well as your making it, why don't you support him rather than blowing torres' trupmet he's gone.

I want him to start every game from now on because I don't want any excuses from him as to why he was terrible here when he eventually gets binned.

why to support a drunk man? who dont want to be in our club and is frustrated when subbed out cos he did nothing and made the worst dive ever in football and go straight to tunnel and throw his shirt? he is disgrace for our club. he will never be a great player. at his best he will be average player who score 10 goals per season

Because he plays for us? That's why we should try and support him, maybe it'll get his confidence up. And a drunk man? I guess you must know him to know all this about his personal life...

its not a secret that he likes to drink a lot. i supported him when he came here but game after game i lost my faith in him cos he clearly showed that he has limited abilities and is just average player. and from his dive he lost all my support .... he was even frustrated when subbed out ??? wtf?? is he expecting to be playing 90 minutes everygame if he is doing nothing and missing hundreds of clear chances?? and going straight to tunnel? he is disgrace for our club. i will not support this type of player

But how do you know that he hasn't tried to cut back?
He has played well on occassions but has been dropped straight after making a lot harder for him to build up some form which I sympathise for.
The dive yep god knows why he done that, although apparently he said to pardrew ' I didn't ******* dive' which means he may have actually tripped.
I think he was more frustrated with himself rather than kenny tbh when he was subbed, but that's just my opinion.

It might make him work harder if he heard fans chanting him name every so often? However that's just an assumption. The confidence would probably improve his shooting as he wouldn't snatch at chances as much or bottle some shots.

he dive it was clear from replays noone can trip from this position .... if he tripped he is the most clumsy player in the world. and that proves he is average clumsy flop.

I thought it was a dive but Carroll apparently seems to think otherwise. And what because he tripped over that makes him a flop? Okay we'll agree to disagree on this account I think.

its not only the dive. its his 1 and a half year with us that makes him flop. he did absolutely nothing for this time. NOTHING - FACT! that makes him flop.

He hasn't been as good as he could have been but his poor form hasn't been helped by the fact like I said he's been dropped whenever he's picked out form. I think he would have done a lot better if he was given a consistent run while playing with gerrard nd suarez

It does seem a little bemusing that they've still started so few games together.

Andy "He'll Come Good" Carroll truly has the potential to be the worst signing in Liverpool FC's history.

At best, he has the potential to score on average 15 goals a season... so long as they are served up on a plate and he's in the right place at the right time and doesn't have to do anything particularly difficult.

He also has the potential to get Kenny & Comolli fired for squandering a British record on a bench warmer.

Like I've said for many many months... he's a nice lad... but he's also little more than a white, younger and slower Carlton Cole... potentially worse!

I was watching videos of our early season games and Carroll was good, just not scoring. Shame he has gone crap but I'd give him games to see how he goes.

Andy was never worth £35 million but thats not his fault. The huge price tag, our tactics, have not helped Carroll at all. I still believe he could be a sucess here and get 15+ league goals a season, but we need to play to his strengths, like playing Downing on the left wing (not on the right) and add another winger for the right side. Put a constant supply of crosses into the box and Carroll will get goals.

Actually starting to feel truly sorry for the lad.

Clearly he is a striker that needs service. We don't have wingers, Kenny seems to hate playing Downing and Carroll in the same team and the right side of midfield is still a mess.

Enrique can't attack that well, let alone cross (he has no assists or goals). Kelly and Johnson are much better attacking but injury-prone. Gerrard hasn't played much, Suarez and Carroll haven't had the chance to strike up an understanding.

Yes, Andy could have started this season better. But honestly, Kenny hasn't helped the lad enough. If he had started every game, we wouldn't be in such a mess.

And if we are going to sell him, then at least increase his value from now til the end of the season!! PLAY HIM!!!

He has well and truly paid the price of not buying Kenny a pint at the Westlife concert.

I agree he has to play.

Just play Suarez and Carroll for 20 consecutive games and watch the goals flow in.
