What is it?
Its a betting game thats incorporated in to the forum software, Admin or someone assigned to run it picks the sporting events then users are able to use virtual money to bet on the events, every persons current balance is displayed by their user name, you can trade coins with each other, give gifts, ect, tho them options can be turned on or off.Originally Posted by Cumbrian

That's the one, I've been using it for ages now on an MMA forum I use.
Its simple yet fun, you can do many things with it, it also bring everyone on the forum together to all play the same game, something not really possible doing games in threads, could have its own section on the forum too, that would stop people flooding other sections of forums with threads about it.
That sounds brilliant. If it was only available for EST users I'd sign back up.
You and many others I imagine, hopefully the powers that be like the idea too and try and work something out.

I'd happily help man it, would need a few of us I imagine in case someone was not about to put the sections up and set the prices ect, that could all be worked out simple enough mind.

I know it sounds of me being a spoil sport but is it not advocating betting to those who are under the legal age to bet in which to allow such an addition to the forums.

If that was the case the betting game in G&C wouldn't have been allowed to run, anyone of any age for example can log on to Yahoo games and play casino games for pretend coins/money.
I'd be saddened if that was the only reason it wasn't allowed.

I personally wouldn't want the blackjack or anything added, at least with sporting events its allows people to bet on them then talk about it during the game/fight ect.

Maybe, will be interesting to see what Matt thinks, will be a great feature, that I'm sure about.
A good feature would be that when you win a million points you could use the points to purchase a custom title for a few months..

I'll be honest here I hadn't thought about the thread you mention, especially as I don't recall ever going in to said thread so have a mind bloke of it...sounds weird but it's true just like I don't venture in to the transfer talk forum.
I was looking at the concept of some one using virtual reality money and thinking their success here with nothing takes them on to the road of using their own real resources(money) further down the line in life...I'm coming across as anal now so will stop.

50p a head would extra would mean more monies for the club too.
