I hear he is playing today? Let's hope he shows some of that class.

What level were those goals scored at? Because the defending is garbage. Not having a pop at AC, but he needs time.
He's missing that passion...I think it's because he doesn't support liverpool in his heart when he plays. His mind is on his newcastle career.
everytime I watch clips of him at Newcastle, he just seems to have more energy, sharper and moving soo much more.
Maybe it's confidence that's missing, but looks nothing like that for us!
I think he is going to tear Bolton up today personally.
He looks fit, he must have gained about 2 stone since those videos. No wonder he cant run or move.
I miss Chris Houghton. Such a shame he was sacked, he was a nice guy of football.
Carroll will be good though, he's got the ability just needs a nudge in the right direction. His career at Liverpool has been similar to that of Mario Gomez from Bayern Munich. His first 2 seasons he was diabolical and then he goes and smashes 40 goals in a season.
Looks a completely different player.
Crouch went 17 games before netting his first, and he did well for us after that. AC needs time, but more importantly he needs service and for that the team is going to have to shape up pretty quickly.
Is it the vertical stripes that make him look leaner and quicker? ...... he just looks heavy and slow at the moment ........... in the clips he was sprinting past people ....... now he looks so slow, why? ......... also in the clips he was getting into scoring positions ........ now he always seems to be not where he should be, has his role been changed? ........... why not go back to the old days and let him learn and get fit in the reserves, score some goals and get his confidence back and unleash him in a few months when he is back to the player we paid 35m for ........ this is painful to watch him struggle and at the moment his confidence, form, mentality, attitude and enthusiasm is totally shattered ........... he needs to fall in love with the game again so he can fall in love with Liverpool so he can get the desire to play for the shirt and show his true worth ......................... make him room with Carra, Stevie, Louis Craig or Jay and hope the passion rubs off ............ in fact make Adam, Henderson and Downing (as a lot of the above could be said about them too) also room with these guys and see if it works ..... make them understand and believe what playing for LFC means ........... and if this fails sell them quick ............
We may soon have to come to terms with the fact that his heart AND soul have remained back in Newcastle - he's a Geordie through and through. At this point what else is there to explain it? Lament all you want about the service but even when it's put on a plate to him, as it was twice today and about four times last week, he can't finish. It's almost like scoring for us is scoring against the Toon in his mind.
At the end of this season, if he hasn't come good in any discernible way, let him go.
Its easy to see on that form how we considered and then paid a serious amount of money for AC. He was confident and using his pace and power, playing like he wanted to score goals. At the moment he looks sluggish, no movement towards the ball and has no confidence. Its like theres no pass and move. Its just pass and wait for the ball to come back to me.
Hard to tell if he just needs confidence or just a serious kick up the hole, either way it better happen soon cause we need goals badly. Today was shambolic.
He doesn`t get that far up the pitch for us very often, also looking at that video he is surrounded by Newcastle players all within 5 metres of him.
To often for us he plays to deep & we don`t push our midfielders up to support him enough. Infact when he plays alongside Suarez, Suarez is the one who is on the shoulder of the last defender whilst Andy appears to be behind him, I`m no coach but that isn`t playing to either players strength.
As for the questions about what level of opposition he was playing against in the video its irrelevant because he was banging them in left right & centre for Newcastle in the Premiership including against us.
That being said he has no dynamism when playing for us, but he looks completely different for Newcastle.
Hope the lad proves me wrong but right now he is a million miles from where he was at Newcastle & a million miles from where we need him right now.
weres all the speed gone?
Even today, though he was called offside, Gerrard put in a beaut of a ball right onto the lad's gigantic head and he knocked it comfortably into the keeper's hands as the whistle was blown. Two years ago, with Toons, even with the call going against him he'd of still buried that ball in the back of the net.
The lad's just not right when he's playing for us, and it has f'all to do with service. He just can't finish.
I'd like him gone. I think I've reached my threshold. I would think he's done here.
Didn't show up tonight either. Sad..Where did he go?
Strange having just looked at that clip; Into the 55th second you see Andy sprinting with the ball to the opposition half - He looks immensly mobile.
I cannot help but feel that either his body has changed so quickly over the year that he's lost that mobility or that he's put on more weight maybe down to his injuries, or he's had some sort of growth spurt (i.e.as in muscle )that's left him with lack of pace.
This sheds a new light, personally speaking. He has the potential, its there for everyone to see, but something is not right with him.
The sooner someone at LFC realises this the better things can get sorted out. But if he were to continue then I'm afraid he shall have to be sold because he is never going to get that pace and mobility back again.
Zero service. Simple as that.
You can see from that clip that every time he gets to weave his magic in the box, there's always 2-3 players around looking for knock ons and not just him alone in the box expecting to dribble a few players to get on goal. He's never gonna do that and to put it simple he's wasted here. Wouldn't blame him but we haven't shaped up to a team to use him. He's a target man. Not a Rooney/Suarez player to create chances out of nothing.
That Carroll was one with confidence and a great hunger to achieve. I hope we will see him here some day. Honestly thought he had some good moments in the Bolton game tho.. Not a good performance but far from the worst on the pitch.
Enough with the service excuse. The lad is out of his depth. Are you suggesting that every ball into him must be inch perfect or it's not counted as a chance? Tell me the last time he got one of these miracle blue moon passes and made something of it. I'll tell you when. Against ManC...LAST SEASON...when he was still injured.
And it's not just taking passes, but positioning. How many times have we seen a cross coming in only to go straight through to the other side of the pitch? Instead of attacking the far post Carroll most often feints going in then hitches back to around ten yards out. He does this time and again. And he doesn't create any space for himself at all.
I think he never envisaged himself playing anywhere but for the Toon and the whole situation he got caught up in was a situation that he was pressured into accepting. I think Newcastle made a very good business decision and broke this kid's heart and he's not yet recovered from the shock. He doesn't want to play for any other team but Newcastle.
