Might as well give a run for many of our academy players, no? We have nothing really to prove at this point. It's evident this season we aren't capable of beating teams like Wigan, Norwich, Sunderland, Bolton and other teams that are fighting for premiership survival, but we will raise game against City, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal. So why not just throw in 6-7 players from our academy? They don't have experience, but they will get it, and I'm sure they will play a lot better football from our first team. Several of our academy players are good enough for this club: Flanagan, Robinson, Kelly. Add some players like Morgan (who can actually score), Suso, Shelvey, Coates, Sterling and I think we have a team that can beat Wigan, Bolton.
Of course not all of them should start, but the starting 11 should have a good mix. Players like Reina, Agger, Gerrard, Enrique should pretty much start with them. The squad today is missing something called passion and dedication and I think we can get that from our younger players who have a drive to succeed. On paper our squad looked strong tonight, but tin reality we sucked so bad. If Kenny insists that we aren't gong to sign anyone, then let's make some actual changes in the squad and at the same time show the EPL that we have the strongest academy.
