More to the point (in my case), would you recommend using one or do you think it is better/more personal if left to the best man to plan?
Trouble I have found with that is the logistics, these companies it seems that you pay for your ticket as best man and then have either until 6 weeks before the stag do to rake all the money in or all the lads go to the company website and pay themselves, booking hotels for 20 odd lads and then tickets for places ect is a big job separately.
I'm in no major rush as my brother doesn't get married until next summer, but it is something I've wondered over. To be fair though I dont think we'll be doing a weekend thing or a going away thing, I'm more likely to stay local and have it simply as an all day event. As a weekend it might be easier.
The one I'm sorting is in April, going down to Bristol for the weekend over Easter, ******* nightmare. Wanted to go across to Germany but for 20-40 blokes its ******* ridiculous, trains are about as bad from Derby to Bristol though, 400 quid for 5 of us, car it is then.
Best idea mate. No matter how good the early intentions seem from those who say they'll turn up, you always get one or two who muck you about, don't show up or complain about how expensive the cost is. You can't ever satisfy all tastes of the group & before you know it you've got divisions between the guys. Forking out wads of cash upfront can also leave you seriously out of pocket if the proverbial hits the fan.
I'd definitely suggest sticking to the tried & tested of hammering the boozers in your town, on to a night club, then maybe a clunge bar for late night perving.
I loved writing my speech, though hated giving it! I spent ages faffing around with it, but there are a few templates you can use online. Can't remember the site but google will help![]()
Book it all yourself would be my advice. I have organised a few stag do's for large groups, i just sent round an email saying this is where we are going , this is what we will be doing, it will cost you roughly this, and you need to pay x into my bank account by this date or you wont be coming. Sounds harsh i know but it cuts out the crap from people saying they might go or not.
do they do ruthies.
