I got negged for saying I liked the new kings of Leon Cd hahah
As someone who had a serious problem with self-negging, i'm relieved rep has gone and my life has returned to normal.
im just sooo chuffed that its gone.
i was starting to be identified as a wum because i was simply expressing my opinion which people didnt agree with. it was disgusting really. people started jumping on the bandwagon and negging for the sake of it.
at least there are no reds to my name and people can respect my posts without prejudging me which i deserve.
I was only here for the rep.
Over three thousand posts tactically written out to gain some glorious green, all for nothing.
This forum offers me nothing now.

Now that the rep system is gone I will not make any effort to think out my posts! From now on you all you will get from me is poor punctuated dribble!
Also I any funny videos or interesting articles I get will not be shared as I don't see whats in it for me anymore.
The loss of the rep system allows otherwise mediocre posters to reveal the abhorrent state of their no-holds-barred thoughts and opinions, and enables them to act like ****s without criticism. Case in point, me. Yesterday evening I threw a child's ice cream out of their hands and onto a dirty pavement; the child cried whilst I repeatedly yelled '**** off no rep can't touch this **** off'.
No you were identified as a wum because you said idiotic things and you flitted between opinions constantly.
There are posters on here who have different opinions to the consensus they don't moan about getting negged all the time probably because they don't because they have thought out posts that establish their beliefs, they don't come out with **** like I might give up my seasie in case someone thinks I might be a racist.
There have been people saying why not have only green rep, no negs. Of course, it has been pointed out that this rewards post count more than anything. For example, Coach791 would inevitably have a high score as there are actually some people who buy into his crap, and he posts a lot. Without the negs to balance it out, he would have a considerable score. There is a solution, however.
Why not have a positive rep only system, but with some sort of score algorithm correlating it to post count? This way you can still look to see what posts have been well-received, but the score (if that is what it is to be called) will be a more accurate reflection of the percentage of your posts that have been judged good.

Bring it back... it occasionally provides laughs, even within bitter threads.
I moderate on another (non-football) forum that dumped the negging years ago. Why? Some use it to voice disagreement, some would see a forum-member they didn't like & neg them for the hell of it. On the other hand, mates would + mates.
In the end it becomes useless & divisive.
Think of the House of Commons; Labour MPs will cheer Milliandroid no matter what ***** he spouts. Cameron's Cameroons will do the same.
We all walk together on these forums.
I've noticed that now it's gone that a few posters are being a bit more forward with their honest opinion rather than just spouting some 'superfan' tripe to try and increase their rep. I've noticed a few people now have harsher (more honest) views on players like Adam etc now they know their good reputation won't be damaged.......
