Just worked out (didn't know this until now) but Stevie is now only 1 season away from equalling the longest serving captain in our history, and obviously two seasons away from becoming our all time longest serving captain! (Let's hope we win the title in that season)

Longest serving captain was Alex Raisbeck, captain for 10 seasons from 1899 till 1909.

He's the only choice for England captain if you ask me, although if Harry gets the job he'll probably give it to Scotty Parker.

I'd like to point out that Steven Gerrard probably does not care about the individual records he might achieve.

He wants the Premier League Trophy.

We better make sure he gets one (or three) in the next 4-5 years before he hangs up his Roy Of The Rovers boots. Nobody deserves it more than him. Nobody in Premier League History.

Well in Stevie, completely deserves this, magnificent player. There wont ever be another, we are truly lucky to have him.

Although agree on the message above, he will value the Premier League trophy over any personal achievement.
