Could be wrong do dont know his sports background. you could see at 16/17 owen physically could handle himself despite his bulid which i have to believe is a result from earlier boxing training.
Lol, what?? Owen as a teenager was weak on the ball, he 'handled himself' by outsprinting everyone. If he was ever side to side with a defender, he would easily get shoved off the ball. Sport education? What are you on about? Rooney had his physique because of his genetics - boxing doesn't magically turn you into a brick s***house at the age of 16!

They will want things to happen then and then. Well if this doesn't work out the owners will be pressurized to sack Kenny...
Kenny hasn't been a brilliant manager since Blackburn. He's been questionable this season and far from brilliant. Be honest.

Raheems debut for the U18's aged just 15, 2 years and 14 days later he runs out for the first team in the premier league.

Reckon if you'd told anyone back then that the little boy in the video would be making his debut two years later they wouldn't believe you.

All this rubbish about his size bugs me. Did the people who signed him two years ago say " ah he will take a stretch and bulk up, dont worry about it", no they knew he was slight of build. Sod it hes talented and quick, he doesnt have to be built like a Klitchko to get a run.

But seriously, when you look at the teams above us, Newcastle included, and we only have Jonjo and Coates to bring off the bench something has gone seriously wrong.

Last forward who came through our ranks and played for us? Neil Mellor. Time before that? Micheal Owen. And we're supposed to be famed for some of the great strikers that we've had.

Midfielders, Spearing... And then do I actually have to go back to Gerrard?

If we're going to start including youngsters we need to be including the better ones.
    Injuries maybe?

Sterling should be given game time now in the league and who knows he could be a regular next season with game time under his belt this season, He is very much like Lennon, Just hope Sterling has the end product that Lennon lacks.

He looks like a better passer than Lennon which is a big bonus but we've only seen 10 minutes. Let's not go overboard yet.

I know mate, I've seen a bit in the reserves of him etc, Not bad player for a young lad, very pacey like Lennon, simular build and run and dribble very much alike, The lad has a bright future.

Pipe down. If he's half the player Muniain is then we've just saved a load of cash.

The judgements and comparisons people people have made after about 10 minutes of football are astounding.

Skills? A couple of step overs by deal. Football isn't about skills, when was the last time you saw Messi doing skills? It's all about end product, let's see what Sterling can do the next few years.

You just mentioned he has great skills. I don't care about skills. Yes he's fast but it's all about how he uses it, will he be a Lennon or a Valencia.

Not anymore. He now just gets on with things, runs at goal and scores, doesn't mess about. Did I mention I prefer Messi to Ronaldo?
