I have had 2 different ones today. I don't know who is changing them, I only just noticed the first one before it got changed to the current one.

The first one though, I want the person who changed it to 'Boys pen' to own up to it. That's an incredibly childish thing to do. I don't want a nickname set by a bunch of idiots who abuse their power as moderators.

Honest question, what's wrong with it ("Boy's Pen")?

I have the same tag as you now, as do many others. It could have been a mistake before it was rectified. I personally just see it as a little bit of fun.

It's patronising.

It would be 'a little bit of fun' if someone I respected or found funny set the tag, but one of the moderators or Matt? No, not ok.

I think you need to keep in mind that the comment "Boy's Pen" was in no way directed at you on a personal level mate. If there is an underlying reason why it rubs you the wrong way, then I'm sure it wasn't intended in any way whatsoever.

No-one has changed your personal tag.

The only thing which has changed is the site post ranking settings. This is what users who don't have a custom username display beneath their profile, the majority of the users. It's governed by your post count.

In your case you would've seen the 'Boys Pen' rating for a brief period until the additional ratings were added. The name you currently have is related to the numbers of posts you've made.

Finally, I'm not sure what the insult is that you've perceived. The new names represent a journey which many matchgoing Reds have made. If you continue to post you'll discover others, none of which are meant as anything other than a bit of LFC related fun.

I think the custom tags are assigned depending on number of posts. "Boys pen" is obviously a doff of the cap to Anfield.
