Would you support a Benetiz return, if Dalglish was to leave?

Just wanting to get some opinions, my personal opinion is that it would be interesting to see what Benetiz would do with money we got now.

I don't want Dalglish to leave so I am not thinking about that. This thread has been done a few times, I don't like it.

I'd be happy to have Benitez back someday but nobody at the expense of Kenny.

Having had a look at the QPR goals now .... I remember we had the same problems with corners and crosses back in his day too.

Kenny would be a great championship manager as this is similar to how Divison 1 was 20 years ago.. but as a modern day PL manager I think hes past it.. hes a just a cup man.

I'll always try and support the manager, I even gave Roy the benefit of the doubt initially but I would be very annoyed if Dalglish were to be let go now and big part of relations would be impacted by the nature of the departure; whether sacking, stepping down or perhaps admittance that KK was in fact always a care take manager. It's not the new managers fault that the previous one got sacked though, Benitez is still one of the best available options and I was livid he got sacked anyway. I want KK to get at least 2-3 more seasons though.

Not true, we had the best record in the Premiership many season running at defending set pieces. We hardly conceded from corners. Zonal Marking FTW!

If Kenny left I'd be okay with Rafa taking over, in fact he might be my first choice.

It's his first full season. We'll see next year.

I hate seeing Kenny's reputation being demolished game by game.

I hated seeing it under Rafa and I'd hate it again if he came back.

Don't want Kenny to go at all, but if he did Rafa would be my first choice as a replacement.

My heart says yes, my head remembers us starting games with Dossena and Degen as our wingers, baffling rotation and poor man-management.

I really want to see Kenny succeed here so I'm against Rafa coming here as an alternative. I'd rather Kenny left under his own steam if he was going to do so and then appoint Rafa.

But there is no other manager I'd rather have here if we were in that position.

I would like to see Rafa get much more protection from the press though because they ate away at him from the day he started at Anfield and it got progressively worse until they got their pound of flesh.

Ask football fans outside of England who have no special interest in Liverpool. What would they say about Rafa vs Kenny? Who would have greater chance of attracting top-class players to a non-CL club?

Most football fans outside of England probably didn't know Dalglish before he took over again.

    Absolutely not......

Those who romanticise about his time with us all the time forget his many faults just as easily.

If Kenny leaves for whatever reason at some point then the club needs to move forward with someone else.

To be honest, I don't know.

I don't know what calibre of manager we could attract.

I'd support him wholeheartedly but I don't think it would be the right move.

I'm not entertaining the thought and wouldn't dream of baying for the Kings blood.

Maybe, but we also scored a lot more - 61 in his last season with us, compared to a paltry 35 after 29 games this season.

If Kenny left, I wouldn't mind Rafa coming back, but I doubt he would get £100m, which Kenny didn't either, seeing as his net spend has only been about £35m when you take into account all the players we sold.

But I do think Rafa had an eye for a decent foreign player, but was thwarted by Parry and the owners to large extent, torres and Masch being the exceptions.

Thats just not true. The Zonal Marking system actually provided the tightest defence in the league year in year out.. the media just jumped on every goal we conceeded to use it as a stick to beat Rafa with as they continued in their attempts to undermind & assassinate him. Tragically they succeeded.
