I know it looks an easy game, home game against a side in the bottom 3. I feel over optimistic every game but I am starting to worry we will mess up yet again.

I don't blame Kenny for installing this 'fear' of smaller teams but one way or another we need to beat them comfortably to shut a few 'fans' up.

Reina for me needs to play as I don't know too much about Doni, Coates deserves another game but Carra has to be dropped, Skrtel needs a wake up call but he's class so deserves to play. Enrique looks half the player he was early on the season but I'm not sure what we have to play there especially if Kelly is injured,means Flano might be needed out right. Is Glen Fit? Or looking at homes in Newcastle? (Just a rumour).

Downing is a must for me on the right hand side, Gerrard and Spearing in the middle and Maxi out left. This will bring dangerous wingers, a good holding player which will give Gerrard more freedom, especially with no useless scotsmsn by the name of Adam beside him.

Suarez and Bellamy up front with the two of them roaming around.

3points ? Hopefully but Wigan have their threats. We are awful at the minute, losing alot of silly games. I am worried about the game but I will be ************ myself by the time I watch it on MOTD as its not on TV. If I see a starting line up including Henderson and Carroll I will switch off the TV and cry.

Still I will try to be optimistic. 1-0 to Liverpool.

I do not want Kelly to play purely because of his injury record. Flanagan has always played well for us whenever he has played and it would be madness to start Carra following his mistakes

I've noticed that everybody has been so enraged over the QPR game that nobody was thinking of the Wigan game. Usually there's a thread for our next game the day after, this time its a day before our next game.

Nah, only joshing. We seem to be in a vicious cycle of learning little, picking the same players who've regularly done little but impress the easily impressed, and end up with 2-3 passengers in the side who seem box-shy. Not sure I care about this result, it will do little. A run of wins would show some kind of promise of a "golden sky" but the only promise we're showing ends with "pie in the sky".

If we win every game we'll get it, I don't see that as a 0% chance. If it's still mathematically possible it can't be 0%, it's a positive value albeit a very small one.

I admire your optimism. Unfortunately we can't win 3 games on the run or put together any consistency and we have this annoying habit of blowing it against teams near the bottom of the table like Wigan. Damn we play them next.

True but you never know with football. Arsenal turned their season around and are sitting in 3rd. Tottenham were challenging for the title not too long ago now look where they are. Chelsea are climbing at snails pace, I think we can AT LEAST beat them to 5th.
