i would agree the cup results are the thing saving his job and probably giving him another season
I put this in the match thread so i'll put it in here to:-
I'm just so confused to be honest, is it just that first full season syndrome and like in the past it'll all improve in that 2nd full season?
Is it the manager, Kenny just isn't up to it afterall these days to the job that needs to be done at this club?
Is it the manager really, given we're on our 3rd in under 2 years and nothing has changed at all in the league across 3 seasons and with these managers?
Is it the players, as most of them are the common theme across these 3 managers?
Is it a combo of all of these, which means what in terms of what needs to change?
I don't know anymore, i'm just going to support the team, get to May, see what happens and then next season we'll see who is managing us, who is playing for us, how much they all care and whether anything improves.
I don't just support this club solely due to the good times and success, it's unconditional no matter what, but boy it doesn't make it any easier each time we go downhill like a balloon and it's happened a lot in the last 20 years.
Bit disrespectful to be fair, if results don't pick up I would expect Kenny to make a decison himself, but I still think we need to hold fire till the end of season and then its fair to examine where we are as a club, and trust the owners and mgmt team to do the right thing, whatever that is at that time.
I couldn't disagree more. We folded on Wednesday and this was an opportunity for KK to get the lads playing again. They were flat and poor, and didn't get them moving.
We've been truly dreadful of late, and there are no signs at all of improvement. When we failed to build on the Everton win (against a depleted and frankly dreadful side), that was bad enough. But this outing was unacceptable. It reflects on the players *and* on the manager.
Im sure youre not a manc, ill say sorry for calling you one and any offence it caused, Although Im not one thats shouting for Kennys head I can fully understand the frustrations of anyone who has doubts, more so than anyone who just shouts hes going nowhere get over it and such without any reasoned debate
Lets blame the fans.
No lets keep King Kenny we are good like this 7th place and loosing at home to Wigan. Who gives a f...k about the future. We are happy with our history so lets keep the King not because he is doing a good job but because he was a legend in the past and every time we loose a game which is happening frequently lately we will turn on the TV on LFCTV and watch some old games from the 70's and 80's and cheer up. We will not regain our status as one of the best teams in England and Europe if we are going to be romantic. I love Kenny as anyone else he is the King but I dont think he can take us forward as manager. I know I am going to get a lot of stick for this comment but this is what I think and I hope Kenny proves me wrong at least today by wining at HOME against Wigan.
It's getting really embarrassing for Kenny on Twitter...he's trending...and no thats not good!
Arsene's Eyes @Arsenes_Eyes
KING Kenny huh? I think there's about to be a coup. #LFC #bbcfootball
Mike Bassett @themikebassett
To be fair to King Kenny, a lot of managers would struggle to beat Wigan at home having invested £113 million in their team. I think.
Kenny has turned the club into a circus!
This is my favourite tweet and applies to most....
Michael Oti Adjei @OtiAdjei
King Kenny's Liverpool. What is it they say abt legends? They blind fans to obvious failings
Part of me is starting to think that Kenny is capable of dragging the club down. Awful signings and refusing to acknowledge that failure plus fans who bury their head in the sand because of what Kenny has achieved long in the past. Our goal scoring form would put us into a relegation battle, now we are conceding like a team in a relegation battle, our defence has hidden how poor we have been all season, now thats gone.
the situation of liverpool is getting from bad to worst. i am ashame that im a liverpool fan. kenny your time is over u must retire from the management of lfc team. what are the ******* owner waiting to sack him. they get their weekly wages they dont care for the fan being laught by other team suporters. all that count for these ashhole is the money they can make from lfc. YOU THE FAN. ALL THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE GIFT,SHIRT, MEMBERSHIP & ETC FROM LFC IS TO PAY THEM EVEN A MATCH VIDEO.![]()
If you're ashamed then kindly **** off and support Chelsea.
Bring on season 2016/2017 !
Trust this will be closed asap
Apology accepted. I believe in Kenny on the basis that we have had some terrific performances in the league, which haven't been rewarded because of our patently awful finishing, but the quality in the approach play was there. The one mistake I feel Kenny has made was spending that 35 million quid on Carroll. We may as well all just accept that it hasn't worked out and that lack of quality in front of goal has cost us.
But these are things that can be rectified if Kenny is given the chance. I just hope NESV see things the same way.
not today, tomorrow or never, blind faith will get you nowhere
it doesn't look good, we are competing with Wolves as the worst team in the 2012.
Kenny doesn't seem to be able to inspire these players and this is a huge issue.
Wow...Kenny blamed it on tiredness!! And you still don't play Maxi! Maxi should kick this current useless manager up the arse and walk!
