me and the wife have just come back from 2 weeks in Jamaica, first time there, we had 1 week at the Couples Tower Isle and a week in the Couples San Souci, we went and visited Nine File where Bob Marley is buried and we cycled down the Blue Mountains. would wholeheartedly say it was the best holiday we've both had, the country and people were so welcoming and friendly. Shame about the 10 hour flight though, but would love to go back there again one day.

Beautiful city mate, but take your wallet with you. I spent £500 in 2 days there at the start of this month.

Get a 2 day ticket for the Batobus. Boat that drops you off at all the main places of interest. About €18 for 2 days.

    Naff all, I fear!

Was meant to be away last week, but was too busy with work to go anywhere. Might try and get a cheap week on a small Greek island in September, but that's going to depend on a lot of things...

A small village called Ovacik, about 20mins walk from Hisaronu and between Fethiye and Oludinez on the Dolmus route.

Indeed! This will be my third time back to the same place, I just hope it's going to be warm enough at the end of April....

Should be. That said, I always prefer the back end of the year, because the sea's had the time to warm up - then I can spend a week bothering fish!

    Leave the poor fish alone!!

I've never been in April before, the 'season' is supposed to start in May but there's no way with everything going on that we could have made it over in May or June, so hopefully the last two weeks of April will just about be warm enough.... I generally stick by the pool rather than go in the sea so am not fussed if that's cold!

Go to Daytona Beach - I've never experienced anything quite like it. The sea is so blue it's a cliche, and the sand is so soft it just feels like flour....

Go and see a space shuttle launch!

Ah no, they're being dismembered for storage

Go to Kennedy Space Centre anyway: the visitor tour is worth a look, especially if you go and see the Saturn V.

Universal Studios theme park was awesome - and there was a guy from Rhyl on the gate, which was odd to say the least.

If you're driving long distances, Naples is lovely; and the Keys are great, would have liked to stay a couple of nights in Key West.

The roads are *very*, *very* dull though. After a while you get bored of looking for alligators in the ditches, which is about the only thing of interest.

Oh yeah. Don't bother with Miami.

It's a dump - apart from the spectacle of the mostly naked black dude on roller blades wearing a boa constrictor, which takes some believing.

We are toying with driving to Miami, spending a night there then moving down to the keys for a day and then driving back

Erm, not far if memory serves. Was a few years ago I did drive from Orlando to Daytona Beach tho so it can't be too far, it's on the east coast about half way up the state but will double check for you.

Seconded. Not that I've seen the guy you're on about!! But I was really looking forward to the couple of days we spent in Miami, but apart from Coconut Grove (which had decent nightlife) it really was disappointing.

Also agree on the roads - seriously dull.
