The born again Christian thread been closed in OT?

Just a reason would be nice instead of just closing it...

usually when a thread about religion is removed it is because somebody overstepped the mark or it was heading down a path that could of caused outrage.

That would be about right. Having just had a look at it, the last post is an example of why it needed to be closed. The Catholic Cardinals thread went down a similar route as well. I know there are a few that are having a very good discussion as well; however, if some keep reacting to a particular poster and then letting the thread descend into chaos, it is very difficult to leave it unattended. We did that previously and its come back. Now I appreciate that some of you would rather one poster be banned, but however misguided his opinion may be, it is a very difficult call for some of us to make as it could just be someone with a fervent faith and nothing more i.e. not on a winding up mission.

Unless there is some assurance that posters will not rise to a particular poster and react, I think the thread is better off with a break. I'm happy to re-open it otherwise. As an aside, I'm just speaking for myself and another mod may decide otherwise.

I am done with him, I know I asked him a question again, but he did call me a liar for some unknown reason and I just wanted to know why.

I am more then happy to ignore his posts and carry on with a sensible thread, pretty others are as well.

I'm happy to re-open, but if there are issues, it would be appreciated if one of you could report it so something can be done perhaps.

There is another poster in there now causing a derailment. Partially my fault for entertaining him, but maybe another warning from a mod will keep the conversation back on topic. I feel horrible for my part in all of this.

I am keeping an eye on it. Like I said in the thread, a short "interlude" isn't so much of a problem, but if it goes on too long the thread will need modding.

    Oh, and
    Code:
    +----------+
Please
Do Not
Feed The
Trolls
    +----------+

Suddenly gets deleted and told to join another thread?

That thread has been open for 2 weeks, and has has multiple mods post in it since the start, why is it deleted now after 2 weeks and atleast 6 pages?

If you want to merge it with the other thread then fine, but this just seems pointless?

Nevermind, seems a mod deleted the wrong post and has since restored it, move along nothing to see here

My fault... I meant to delete the athiests thread and somehow clicked the Christian thread. Angel must have seen it in the 5 second gap it took me to restore it.
