Jonjo looks to have much more natural ability, looking at that pass he played to Bellamy down the line in stoppage time where he hit in on the volley and on the turn.

    Has some of Gerrard's qualities..

I think it may be you looking for the negatives.

Who knows if he will ever be that good, but it's a great trait to have, making that extra second for yourself.
Cleverley and wilshere are not super quick but they have a change of speed which means they can drop a shoulder and gain them selves a yard or two. If you believe what 'arry says about fat frank and their no reason to doubt even at 19/20 Fat frank would get his running spikes on and working on his speed and mobility long after training when everyone else had gone home after every training session cause he recongnised this was an area which could prevent him getting to the top, this is what jonjo needs to work on every single day of his football career till he retires. Cleverley and wilshere are the future of englands midfield options and I want Jonjo to join the race not take the easy option and bottle it to Scotland national side.

henderson should be sold as soon as possible the **** is the worst player iv seen in a red shirt for a long time his passing his awful he has no brain and how he made it as a football player i dont no. Shelvey seems to play better when he plays off the striker i like shelvey because he plays forword unlike henderson who goes back whenever he gets the ball.
But still shelvey is still not good enough.

Cleverley wasnt good enough to play for that lot at 19/20 he had to wait till he was 22 after at least 3 diff loans till he was rated as good enough to join the battle in that regard he is already ahead of cleverley.

You have a stick up your **** because I don't rate Henderson and think he was a waste of money and each passing game we get to see Shelvey I am proven right.

No need to throw your toys out of the pram. You chose to focus on the negative part of my post and not the positive. Speaks volumes.

To be honest, I never knew that about Frank Lampard.

Def agree that Jonjo needs to work on his mobility, all I'm saying is that he has other qualities that Wilshere and Cleverley lack - and obviously vice versa.

I'd love for Jonjo to get the minutes now and improve, as well as train hard. Honestly feel he could be a massive player for us.

    Big selection dilema this weekend.

If we go 442, you would imagine Carroll will start after his winner and of course Suarez then surely you would think the 2 CMs would be Gerrard and Spero ? So where do Henderson or Shelvey fit in as well probably see Downing left and Kuyt right ?

If its 443 then its Gerrard, Spero and 1 of Shelvey/Henderson, but which one do you leave out after both were fantastic last night. Would be a big blow to whoever.

Both had a good game last night. Shelvey played with skill and Henderson played with heart.

    Intersting isn't it.

Kenny mentioned that 'two players' may of played their way in to his thinking for the weekend (post match Sky interview).

    Who are those two?

    Carroll and Bellamy?

    Shelvey and Maxi?

Like I said, interesting isn't it?

Henderson would be incredible if he had Shelvey's confidence.

I've said it recently: Jordan Henderson reminds me of a young Scott Parker.

Parker has improved with age - but that was also down to him going to Chelsea way too early in his career. If managed properly, Henderson will be a similar player but we need to avoid the same errors in Parker's career progression.

I don't think he's lacking in confidence. Put Henderson as a CM, he's looked good and I can see the Lucas/Henderson CM pairing as something special if given the chance.

You have to play Spearing beside Stevie to give him licence to roam. He always plays well against the bitters also, good chance Carra will play even though Skrtel and Agger are better players at the moment and Kuyt always pops up with important derby goals. Kelly could play right back as Kenny likes to play the local lads in the derby games and its worked well for him so far.

I think Carroll and Henderson could be getting a start but I couldn't be sure. The GK position is the big worry I just don't think Jones is good enough and Everton will exploit that.

On these bords you never know

Shelvey still has much to learn but that's the case with anyone at his age.
He will be a great ACM for us.

Henderson was great, jus play him as a holding MF and he will run everything from MF.

It wasn't his Shelvey comment I referred to, and he knows that.

I would Spearing would start too, but you never know. Before yesterday's result I would of said this would be the line up -

    ---------------------Doni-----------------------
    Johnson----Skrtel---Carra------Enrique
    --------Spearing-----Gerrard---------------
    Kuyt-------------------------------Downing
    ------------Suarez-----Carroll---------------

However, Henderson showed great discipline at right back, could he now play ahead of Spearing and show the same discipline at DM?

Shelvey looked very good, Maxi scoring, Bellamy's energy and assists, Agger back to fitness?

Who knows? We could see -

    ------------------Jones-----------------------
    Johnson----Skrtel---Agger------Enrique
    --------Henderson-----Gerrard------------
    Bellamy-------Shelvey--------------Suarez
    ------------------Carroll----------------------

I'd start Maxi ahead of Bellamy, but otherwise wouldn't mind seeing that latter side.

I would want Shelvey and Gerrard to switch during the game, however, and take turns to play the AM role. Stevie's at his best when he's further up the pitch, and it's easier to temper his tendency to go walkabouts from CM if he only has to do it in shifts.
