Is there any way this can be considered for removal. I always think it ruins the look of a good post seeing the "Last edited by..... At ....." at the bottom.

Is there not another way it can be shown the post has been modified without it being splodged on the post itself? Perhaps a little icon by the title bar or something?

    Thanks.

We could remove it but it can serve a useful purpose and I honestly don't think it's as disruptive as you suggest.

Can it not be moved or changed into an icon next to the post number?

It's probably only me, but hey, that's what feedbacks all about.

How about an option of an edit reason? So when you edit, you are given the choice to 'leave edit mark' or something. Meaning that when mods edit we can leave a message, but when posters correct a spelling mistake it doesn't appear.

The edited part is good for prediction games though!

Or use a spell check before posting?

The edit thing I like, as it stops people from backtracking as it shows when posts have been edited.

If you click the "last edited" text it should take you to a list of the edits.

Might work for you, but it doesn't focus mere mortals

Ah, I was just clicking my own edited posts... You are right, it does indeed not work for mere mortals.

I'm not totally against it, I just think its a bit too blatant and could be situated somewhere different.

Even if it were in the section next to the quote and edit buttons, would be better.

Maybe it's my OCD but it does irritate me. Hence the thread.

Phone and laptop. I don't notice it much on the phone but I notice on the laptop.

I admit it's probably not everyone's primary concern. But I do think it could be tinkered with to make it a bit more subtle

If you edit your post within about a minute and a half of posting it, the 'last edited' note doesn't show up, so it does give you a bit of time to correct

It can easily be modified so it's not so blatant

Just a smaller font size or as suggested in the blank area between report and quote buttons would work.
