It was a cartoon designed to encourage people to protect the environment.

Watch this, it's the intro to it.

I just realised that they all have useful powers demonstrated but the last one 'Heart' is so lame they couldn't even give an example of it being used!

That's the thing. I had this discussion with a buddy of mine. I grew up in the late 80's and I think we were the last generation to actually play outside all the time.

Nobody really had a Nintendo around my neighborhood, so all we would do all day is either play a combination of baseball, hockey, football (american/soccer) or build stuff in the dirt. We were never inside. In fact our parents would just tell us 'Go outside and do something.'

Now, kids have the xbox, the internet, etc... I'm pretty sure they only get outside to go and buy more Mountain Dew and Red bulls.

So many of those don't apply to me, but I did grow up in the 90s.

Nickelodeon in the 90s is still watchable now (for me ). I absolutely loved it.

Also, I've no idea if this is the 90s or the 80s but I gathered the majority of my history knowledge from Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego?.

Born in '94, remember being aged 4 running about the street playing tag, hide and seek, man hunt and then sitting down and trading pokemon cards. Don't see any kids out playing like that round here anymore, probably too busy on their xbox's haha

Or when you know what a record playing is. Probably all broken now, though.

Dressing like Brian Harvey was cool.

2 Unlimited was great Euro Techno.

Kids Saturday morning TV was worth watching, even as an older teen!

    White dog poo still existed.

Ditto that for the 70's...summers seemed to last 10 months back then...football, climbing trees, making dens, carrying a penknife without fear or seeing it as a weapon, bike rides etc...simpler times.

Clothes that were awesome in the late 70's...

Adidas Kick, Phanton and the epic Samba's
    Kio strap overs
Fred perry polo shirts and jumpers
    Slazenger jumpers.

And if you didn't have a Kagool in the 70's as a child...you weren't there!

I was born in 1991, and there were loads of kids about mine and my sister's age that lived on the same street. When we got back from our schools we used to play out for hours and hours just playing football and on our bikes having races. Now kids these days either daren't go out for fear of being mugged, or are muggers in general skiving off school. To say how things have changed even from when I was 10yrs old is pretty staggering.
